  Scores of beautiful models stare out from the covers on the magazine rack everyday. As long as the cover is outstanding enough to stand out from the rest and grab the eye of the casual browser, it would have served its purpose.
  
  Most male readers just look at the face and body; most female readers pay attention to the make-up, hairstyle, clothes, styling and other details as well (which also explains why many chief editors of fashion magazines are female). For the latter, the cover of "Her World" Dec 2005 has done pretty well on these counts -- this month's cover was arresting, it is hard to miss when you're browsing, though one must admit Ong has looked better in other pictures.
  
  Of course there are magazines catering to those who go for just the face and body... we'd just have to wait for contributors to put up the "Maxim" and "FHM" scans.
