Here's a quickie,
Slardar has a very average strength growth and for a melee hero it would be nice to add some stats. But Crush is too good to delay, and Bash must be maxed early,if you hope to get any kills early on.

Explanation of items.
Treads for cheap and early attack speed. With Sprint and Treads,Slardar already has 511 movespeed. How many heroes can actually outrun you? Besides, you will need the quick IAS early. As for the TP of boT,Slardar does not have to be running around the map all the time. And if you really need to get somewhere fast, you can use Sprint.
Bracers are gotten for the early stats and damage. With Amplify damage alone, the damage from these Bracers are good enough to last you till you get Desolater, which is without a doubt the best item for Slardar. It increases DPS by a huge amount when coupled with Amplify damage. Also,it’s cheap and easy to build. With desolater alone Slardar is already very powerful.Few heroes can withstand your Uber-DPS,and even fewer can run from it. Kill, kill, kill. Play something from “Kill Em All” and kill em all np.
If you are harassed badly early game, the temptation may arise to get an ROH. Not a bad idea, actually. Upgrade to either Hood or Vanguard, since regen helps with mid-game farming.
Lategame,Hyperstone is the best way to boost your DPS.Think of DPS as a square, with one side being damage, and the other being attack speed. To have a large DPS.you will need both sides to be large. ThatÂ’s where Hyperstone comes in.
Finishing AC is good, but other items must be considered. If the enemy team has plenty of disables, or the get Diffusal to Purge off your Sprint, BKB is the best option. If they have plenty of ranged DPS heroes who can hit you safely, such as Sniper,Heart would allow you to tank up.
Strategy.
Get whatever starting items you want, but include at least 2 sets of tangoes. As a melee hero, expect harassment from ranged enemies.Slardar has reasonable base damage and animation, so last-hitting should be fairly easy. You must last hit as much as possible, try to finish Treads and 2 bracers by 20 minutes at the very least.
Mid-game,farming takes priority over ganking, but if enemy heroes are near and your ally pings madly at his location, donÂ’t hesitate to participate, you have a disable, and your ultimate allows every hero in the gank to take advantage of it.
Once you have desolater, killing heroes should be fairly simple as long as you didnÂ’t take too long to get it. The way you ambush/gank is a follows. Turn on Sprint. Use Amplify damage on the enemy hero, then attack him immediately. Only use Crush if he begins to run,or he has a powerful spell he is about to or already has casted. E.g: Death Ward. With Sprint you should be able to chase him down np. If you have DOE, blink in for the crush so as not to miss.
Late game, you should save Blink-Crush for when the fighting has already begun. If you initiate, without BKB you will die pretty soon. You are the damage dealer, not the tank.Blink in and Crush, then Amplify the hero which is likely to die the fastest, then start attacking him. Turn on Sprint when he begins to retreat out of the fray, since you will be focused and killed if you turn it on in the middle of all the enemy heroes. A good way to predict enemy strategy is to think of how you would counter your own.
