For instance, I'm a regular user of Phantom Lancer.
A proud one at it.
Please I and my pals loved analysing and We always analyse weakness,
Not just by theory, Practical games and trainings.
Thats why, I really really sure of whats happening.
If you say blade mail, 20% of the damage returned.
I fought hero's and people who are well aware of Phantom Lancers Late game abilities.
I have also seen a fair use of blade mails against Phantom Lancer, which in turn existed as a mere burden to the hero holding it, (except maybe for the Nerubian Assasin against a bounty or a night stalker.)
But In a game, I personally lvl 16 with just a manta Style and a treads in worse condition hunt characters with defense as blade mails or such, high armors..etc.
The only heros I've seen successfully defeating a late game Phantom Lancers.
And, Blade mail doesn't seem to apply to any of them.
So far, When clashing 1 on 1 With Nerubian Assasin or somebody with a blade mail, I rarely even disengage with half life left normall when the guy is dying and attempt to run, or run at the sight of me coming.
You can try buying 6 blade mails and attempt a phantom lancers life.
But base on Experience and alot of games and repeated mistakes.
A phantom lancer is never affected by blade mails. OR you can say a phantom lancer who doen't use images MAY be affected.
So before you interpret others point of view as judgement, please make sure you are clear of logic and theory and lots of experience before putting forth your logic. -

blademails are a good counter to naix i guess.
but pl remains one of the best late game heroes.
siren,tb are the rest capable of fighting him imo. -

Yea, if the pl was netted first before generating.
or the TB found a way to swap his life before the PL starts generating.
In my opinion, only 2 heros can truely kill pl for wat he is at the strongest stage. But its definitly a hero whose farming can be fast and pushing.
Give him more then 2 tower full gold, and 2-4 hero kills, and 2 team mates who can support is almost equally handing the game over to him. -

PL is a strong late game hero, to actually destroy him is to hurt him in the early game, not allowing him to gain back the upper-hand when the game goes on.
With sufficient farming, PL will be extremely hard to kill. The best way to efficiently destroy him will be maphacking.. 2nd to that will be mass AOEing when the images is out, hopefully allowing a teammate with sharp eye to see which is the true hero.
He is pretty weak at early game though, harassing him will not be hard. -
True in a early game, with out lance, the pl is quite a easy target to harress, esp with a denying hero.
he's always as a assistence hero in the game. 1 lance u guys can take care of 1 hero while he can chase or wait for cooldown to finish and slam another one,
