  DoTA don't have a perfect build. DP can play assist or killer. Assist is easier tho. Basically, you need to spam carrion swarm at the start to farm and harass. Get many clarity potions, a few ancient saps and ore gaunlet. Your next fountain trip should be after you use your ultimate when you dun have mana and hp pots left. Den make bracer and buy boots. For assist, get eul, vise, manta den radiance. For killer, get 1 more bracer, dagon, linken, skadi...
  I never see clan match people choose their DP to be killer tho.. hahaz

  It really depends on who u want to be.. a supporter or a killer
  But increasing hp is quite important.... intel n agil heros are pretty low in hp..
  
  who say refresher is a joke..
  in a team match dp with refresher can sweep through the lane easily ..
  
  just my 2 sents, build according to situation as well as your strength n weakness
  
  whenever i got DP.. i would build a support hero cause i find it hard to get megakill with it ( if u play among pros)..
  so i would get soul booster, scepter, "healing + armor" item ( forgot the name)
  getting ag would be better ..if dp can carry it ^^

  i get heart and aegis instead of skadi. you dont need skadi. its 7k. guinsoo is a great enough disabler. your ulti is just deadly and you want it to go on as long as possible. you'll probably be the focus in big fights due to your aoe's silence swarm and gay ulti. and with these items you can last longer and with a these items, hopefully, you can be the decider in the big fights
