I go by the simple principle of "live today as if there is no tomorrow"Originally posted by KFDugong:Have you ever gone on a diet... and then come across this restaurant which immediately made you feel hungry to the max..?
And thus you abandoned your diet, then blame yourself for eating compulsively.
Now, it is written by LaVey that life should be all about indulgence.. about indulgence in all your human actions and foibles, instead of abstaining for reasons of religion, faith or anything other than your own good human self.
However, the line between indulgence and compulsion is a thin one. The line is crossed when you eat for no reason at all, and feel guilty afterwards
Compulsion often arises from abstinence in fact.
In short why not do what is good for you always, instead of being held back by some blurry notion?

The problem is that you wouldn't know whether you will live 100 days. Life is full of uncertainties.Originally posted by gurlndignant:Carpe Diem?
I agree - compulsion is the fruit of abstinance. And why abstain if you;re gonna live as if there is no tomorrow.
But I'm gonna bite, and say, why would you not want a tomorrow!
The fact is that if you live 100 days, 99 of these days, you're gonna have a tomorrow.
So there.
