Syriah Court vs Civil Court in Malaysia

  Pardon me for asking sensitive qn although it happened in Malaysia.
  
  Recently there have being lot of news that people who want to convert to other religions from Islam are usually being deny by Malaysia's Syriah Court.
  
  My point is everyone has the right to choose which religion they want to follow. Why must Syriah Court deny them such RIGHTS? Such action is against basic Human Right.
  
  It is easy to convert to Muslim in Malaysia and extremely tough to denounce Islam and convert to other religions. This is just not right at all.
  
  An analogy is for eg: like a teenager joins a gang. As easy as ABC. But when he decided to quit the gang, he is faced with lot of resistance and difficulties by the gang members. (it is just an analogy. no offense)
  
  Lastly, I believe for a democratic nation, Civil Laws take precedent against other laws.

  Malaysians believe Islam is the best religion. so? cannot arh?
  
  In Malaysia all must follow Syriah Court. y? Civil court v good?

  Don't you know the punishment for stealing and rape is more severe in Syirah Court than civil court?

  Now, here comes the contradiction part....
  
  If muslims cannot convert out and will be sentence to syariah court because he is a muslim, why don't the syariah court sentence the muslim rapist with syariah laws since the rapist is a muslim too....
  
  True i may not understand the full complexity of malaysia's legal system, but this is enough to raise eyebrows and questions...
  
  Civil say, religious freedom for ALL. Syariah say, muslims CANNOT convert. So shouldn't muslims be trialled under syariah laws for all sorts of crime then?...
