MUIS organises fund-raising for Indonesian quake victims

SINGAPORE : The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) is organising a special fund-raising effort in aid of the victims of the Indonesian earthquake.
Donation boxes will be placed at all 69 mosques in Singapore from Tuesday until Friday.
Donors can look out for boxes marked "Humanitarian Aid to Earthquake Victims in Indonesia" to make their contributions.
The funds collected will be channelled to non-governmental organisation Mercy Relief.
Donations can also be made by cheque.
They should be made payable to "MUIS" with the words "Humanitarian Aid to Earthquake Victims" written on the back of the cheque. - CNA /ct -

As for helping, supporting and fundraising for victims, it is not restricted to any religion. I am posting this here cuz it's more relevant here since the fundraising is carried by MUIS. -
