  It means at one time before the tsunami they had hundreds of mosque in acheh. They didn't want better hospitals or schools or better public services they just want more mosque, thats how extreme and fanatical they are.
  
  I don't believe the tsunami was sent to tell them to pray. I believe it was sent to tell them not to be so extreme, whats the point if they have hundreds and hundreds of mosques if they cannot advance, acheh is one of the richest in terms of resources, gold, oil, spices etc.. but the people are one of the poorest in all of indonesia and live hand to mouth in abject poverty is ridiculous, wasting gods gift, what's the point to have so many mosque? 1 is enough.

  KumSioJui is very agreeable. And careful careful, the I-Slam doesnt support the wrath of God theory, where He arbitrarily punishes people. The natural calamity is just about what it is, nature and it's geological processes and when people cannot fulfill the demands of the law of nature.
