  nominations are out.
  
  jay chou with 6 awards including best male singer, best album and best music composition for qi li xiang. too bad no best prodeucer.
  
  sun yan zi with 4 nominations including best female singer, best alblum.
  
  lin jun jie with 1 nomination for best music composition jiang nan.
  
  some other disappointments includes,
  
  only 1 best newcomer nomination for FIR.
  
  no nominations for jolin.

  yes FIR is from taiwan. somemore their debut album sold 280,000 copies in taiwan. 2nd only to jay choy's 320,000 copies of qi li xiang.

  jay mentioned in the papers he will rather exchange his best male singer for nan chuan mama to be nominatd for an award.

  I heard that FIR can't perfom very well live. Not sure if that's true... is that why they only got one nomination

  what does performing live got to do with the awards? the awards are supposed to honor their music based on their album.
