Aiya guys, cool it lah, he forget take his medicine lah, Madcab is always a brother to us, whether he lives in condo, bungalow or inside a casket, it got nothing to do with driving taxi or Uber, so to speak. As per my teaching, you all already learned and knew that 10 TDs, 10 assholes, live 2 rooms, said live 5rooms, live HDB said live in condo, live in condo said live in landed property, live n landed property said live in bungalow, live in one storey bunglow said live in 3 storeys bungalow...but the truth is, at the end of the day, we will go back to ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Everyday, you go kopitiam after the peak period, can see all these TDs boosting all the way, ...if you are young drivers, you get mesmerized, if you are drivers like me or my good brother taxilim or keepthechange...you dunno want to laugh or cry.

TS also quite stupid. Sign with LCR can only do uber. 2 more days uberpool start liao. Then follow by fix pricing. Sometime dun know if its karma or suay chee.

How many times i need to mention that i dont need an income from driving but i require a car. Uber offsets all my driving costs by driving few hours a day so why not. Treat it as therapy. I have other sources of income.

Aiyo yantao, not everything is base on karma and suay Chee one, most of the time, is base on your thinking, and all men got 2 heads and 2 brains, if you use the wrong one to think, it still can work, but mostly end up in Holland Drive. Now you know why women are problematic, cost they only got one head and one brain..most of their energy goes into their boobs, that is why people use to say, big boobs no brain...same like men, tua ki, bo brain. As for karma or ah ma, that one very complicated lah, so people like to take it simply by saying..karma karma karma...but actually many do not understand or perfectly understand it, so..by and large, as time goes by, it become a layman term to curse others and to warn others

Updates. After 1 over month of being on private apps.
Now earning more than previously driving taxi with lesser hours clocked on the road. Which I meant serious and really driving on the road. More time to relax and do other things.
Uber I bring back more than 1K a week with incentives. Very relax kind of driving. Just need to understand their system, study the map and analyze the timetable given for guaranteed hours. Total hours clocked for real driving only about 25 a week. Aim short unlike taxi you aim long unless in CBD. Many ways to play. The rest is spent time waiting to clock in time or relaxing, drinking coffee, reading a book, surfing net in the car etc. Uber is about driving smart and not long. Make full use of the system in place. Just drive minimum to clock the trips and disappear somewhere isolated to clock in the time online for incentive payout. Very good. Better than driving taxi around like a headless chicken as if no pax = no fare. Apps you wait also get money and many private relax jobs for aka limo service whom book you on personal basis. Best.

I dont know what other income sources u have, but I do know that if we focus our hearts on a primary business, it should generate sufficient income and there is no need to worry about any sidelines.
People with many sidelines each contributing a few hundred to 1k every month, actually end up spending more time and brain juice (sang nao jin).
If u like private apps, do it full time. If u find your sideline more lucrative, focus on that and dump private taxis.
Life is short, give your best to the one profession u love, and forget about the rest.
I got many talents. I also can have many many sidelines. If u want to do a few things at once, make sure they are all related.

Drive pirates can earn lah. But dunno how long it will last. As long as one side toh the other side incentives will cut. So in the long run taxi stills more stable. I dun understand why TD kpkb there is a drop in income? I dun face this problem be it weekdays or weekends. Anyway I think what kind of drivers uber and LCR are those part timers. Those who needs a car and have a full time job. Imagine by driving just 2 hours after work you can easier cover most of the rental. Says you lose $30 a day in rental, one month $900. You get a brand new car with all the taxes and insurances and maintainence taken care of. Consider this amount of money can't get you a car nowadays so why not? And those into properties and insurance sales it suits them well.
But seriously to earn a living it is rather difficult. Although cost is low for the rental. But the levies and fuel cost are high. So the more you drive the lesser you will get because the high levies and fuel cost already negate your takings but for taxis the more you drive the collections you get which you dun have to pay levies and diesel cost is cheap. So very easy to cover the rentals for pirates but can't earn big money.

$3000++!!!! mai ko tan liao (MKTL) That day I went to their office, the young chio bu said, now only got 10 cars, asked me to apply first and wait, then she asked me how old, I told her $60 still got some change, she said the management prefer 50 yo and below one, I told her, this is discrimination of employment and it is an offence. Then she (chio and younger than those CDG lau kuay bu dro) said, no no, uncle, it is not discriminating, because this new set up is very high tech, and way of charging electricity, fares and charges are all digital and need some IT savy in it, so if you are older and unable to cope with the new tech, then it will be a very stressful for you. knn

Knn big canon fairy. 1k is before deducting rental lah. Uber incentives cover morning peak 3 hours from mon to Thurs. So 4 days drive 12 hours only...senang Fri, sat n sun burned as Uber driver...so relax meh?? Knn lopsided hours if u work for Uber driving incentives hours. Drive 25 hours per week earn 1k....tan ku ku.... Somebody post in Uber forum he got into an accident driving LCR car....4 to 5k penalty ...only one authorised workshop to repair n of course they quote. Downtime rental still must pay hor.... -
Uber earning the MOST is $1,500 net per month Grab earning is abit more... $2000 net per month Taxi driver, chao chao got.... $2,500 to 3k ba....I not so sure, cos I only $900 But taxi drivers have to drive more and longer hours, whereas apps driver just wait and wait for calls,...hokkien call it...tan lee hoon

In any industry, there are both good and lousy performers. Not everyone think and work the same way. Just like in taxi driving, there are some earning 7-8K a month and some 2-3K a month driving the same bloody cab.

Uber will pay the shortfall in earnings if you meet the requirements stated by uber in the peak (incentived) hours. The peak incentived hours are definitely more than 25 hours. Experienced uber driver driving only the uber guaranteed hours can expect to take back $600 to $650 nett a week. Guaranteed hourly rate from uber could be $30 to $35 per hour. Therefore monthly nett income could be $2400. Aldo long hours. Fri sat n sun burned one hor..those uber drivers whom claim to take back nett 4 to 5k is true. They work non peak hours as well as guaranteed rates hours. Probably driving 16 to 18 hours a day just like omo td.

I have been taking feedbacks from friends driving GU as well as reading from ug forums. In the end taxi is still the best option. I work from 6pm to 12 midnight mon to thur. 6pm to 6am Fri to sat. Sun I rest. Total working hours 48 hours per week. Take back 3k plus. Quite relax. Only Fri n sat quite siong ..... But productivity is high. Haha 13 trips in cbd during evening peak. Yesterday nite got 12 only ...mentor pool is still correct
