What route you use?

The road as I said before is no problem, but knn, as a TD, you must know that they got many other personal problem mah...from kiam ah long to affair to money not enuf problems..you think they very concentrate ar??? couple with not enuf rest and sleep...after first 3 hrs only...all look like zombie already..so, they make mistake mah.

Very seldom short $7 route taxi drivers would take much longer way. $3 difference is $3.00/$0.22 * 400m = 5.4km (actually slightly less because certain portion charged at $0.22 per 350m).
If really taxi drivers fault, just settle on the spot and take $7 quickly proceed on to find next customer. Otherwise means mood for the whole day would be spoiled and maybe need Comfort to settle. 90% of customers would not care about less than $1 difference.

$55 rental means $55 cheaper than old Sonata.
But pump fuel at least $15 more....so $40 difference for a car that does not have insurrance for 4 passengers. Supposing one can collect $250 per 12 hours....but 20% must give Uber.....that means $50 additional to Uber.....so in the end still more worth it to drive taxi since $40-$50=-$10 difference. Somemore cannot street hail and cannot reject so totally depend on company for customers. Plus $55 car not as good as Comfort's Sonata in terms of stability, room-space and boot space and very likely all already snatched up by others so must rent the $70 type.
Only incentives (which are not guaranteed in the long run) temporarilly makes it seem like a good thing to join Uber. However, 94% of taxi drivers considered but did not make the move to join Uber.
This morning at around midnight I was told by one of my customers who was waiting at Marina Sands Bay (the queue was 100m long) that Uber also marked up the price to 3.x times its normal rate when he attempted to get a taxi. So would fetch customers who are very unhappy too.
Uber is only seems like 100 pts.

You do not need to be Uber mah, you can do grabcar, better, if pax call grabtaxi, it will change to grabcar coming to fetch them. Actually, productivity speaking, apps ride are much more conservative in fuel usage, they just park there and wait, calls come in, they move, unlike taxis...driving around empty like a chicken without head...waste many fuel, then all face green green due to too many having green light on top shining on each other reflecting a green face...teowhew said..drive until bin cheng cheng.

I fully support no private limo or taxi app usage at air show. Even as a former cabby, I found the presence of so many on-call taxi and private limos to be a complete nuisance and cause of traffic jam.
I hope they extend this to formula one as well. Ban all taxi/limo apps and taxi bookings. Just let those green lanterns come in and sweep the pax away.

Town go tampines. ...kpe then pie. Near orchard then cte pie. But got pax wants ecp then tpe. ..those claim company type
