Pa bao chia, private limo business wont die out one. Private app booking cannot eat everything. I got my reasons, solid reasons. At the end of the day, whether its uber or grab or limo or taxi, its still driven by an ex- or current cabby. Apps got their uses and clientele. Private limo and pa bao chia got their traditional clientele. This pie is too big for any one party to makan everything.
You as a normal taxi, unless you tried before and tasted it, dun be too quick to dismiss it. Just like singapore got 200 casket companies. Why some keep getting called? Same for ambulance service. Got public and private ambulances. Same thing for private buses. Got CDG, SMRT and SBS 42 seaters buses, but still got private 42 seaters. My limo biz covers all kinds of transportation modes from small to big, except trains lah. You think i only do peh chia jobs ah?

OBK.... and didn't go Sentosa.... how's the situation there??
Chaotic. Don't go Sentosa lah. Many people yes, but how many can you ferry? Plus you want tons of sand to get into your car? It is a hassle and nuisance to clean.
There are still tons of passengers from Clarke Quay, Robertson, Chijmes and Pan Pacific + One Raffles Place. Can shuttle until hit target. Why go Sentosa and get stuck in jam plus sandpit treatment. Just let them rot lah.

If you try limo driving than you can comment better......
Of course, some try limo driving before, no lobang ended up also curse here and there.......
I'm not really successful last time when driving AMX tank, but I know how the whole system work.......
Well, if end of the day, net $30 for driving limo but can make others tulan, why not? Rental higher, meter higher, SMLJ also higher, they song mah......
I think you misunderstood my intention. .😎
I dont want casket taxi or limo. I want eight regular saf colonels to carry my casket to mandai in a 玻璃车. Got kang tao or not?

Originally posted by bowah:I would say, in limbo today, more are cursing, the key is to make one man look higher only, but at the end of the day, still a driver mah. Like I sometime also drive limo..mercedez wagon, also higher cost for pax, smlj also higher, I myself also look higher, wear bow tie somemore…knn…but for rich people who passed away and want a Mercedes casket like LKY.
Yes, driving merc casket do earn more than normal casket van or lorry, but not much people order, so in casket driving, at least you can switch from normal to limbo, limbo back to normal, taxi companies should also allow that so that more will take up their limbo.
Normally, a limbu drivers won't curse at how tough the market, this one you all must know......
Becos they choose to be one......
Limbu drivers won't curse at sampan, becos they SMLJ also higher than them, curse for what, is pax prefer to take sampan than limbu, they will say thank you very much, cheapo pax, they won't say the sampan drivers........
This is the different......

Next will be 8 Generals carry the casket.......
Want to bet?.......
Come to limo, KTC and me is same wavelength one. Those who never drive merc before, must know these are two different markets.
I think the son still got long life ahead. But i must agree that 3 crabs is not enough to carry a star.
It is quite true job market is weak right now: https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/citizen-unemployment-inches-3-1-041100997.html
3% of citizen population of 3,375,000 = 101,250 registered jobless people (2015 figures)
The 2010 population of PWD (people with disabilities) = 97,200. However not all disabled are without jobs.
This means we got approximately full employment after subtracting for prisoners.
Our problem here is not earning a living. As long as people willing to work, they wont starve in singapore. The biggest problem is structural unemployment - eg. Having overqualified people doing taxi, security, cleaner and delivery.
It also suggests either our tertiary education system has failed, or the world is moving too fast for our university curriculum to catch up. A third possibility is that a degree is passe - out of date so to speak.
I believe the trend now is to suss out profitable small enterprises, and grow it from there, using our tertiary education as an aid. No matter what, a graduate learnt how to think and was imparted this precious gift that many with secondary or primary education lack. There are exceptions of course, so I should qualify myself. But my experience is that a graduate usually got a better mind.
I am an example myself. As a normal n limo cabby many years ago, i hit the upper end and maxed out daily collections in 2.5 years. Now just pass jobs to others.
As a okt, never once had to lim kopi. Just follow the unwritten code and show our police officers the respect they deserve.
As a driver, the last time i was stopped by TP - maybe I was still below 30.
In my auto business, i never lost money before. I engineered my own tools and provided a unique service even a big outlet boss who was in the trade for 30 years could not reproduce.
I am still not rich though. All these innovations costs alot of money. I know better than to find those venture capital or business accelerators. Bootstrapping my own business using personal income is my preferred method. No banks no loans please.
