If want to clear loan at 45, meaning staying at the flat for many many years without shifting.......
Nabey, when where can get good money, TD first to chiong one, property market encounter few good times in the past 3 decade......
Those change tio seh, ok, those change beh tio seh, now is the hardest hit.......
Servicing HDB loan with cash plus driving a taxi is no joke, anything above $1k, god bless you, SMLJ can earn $7k, HDB stupid meh......

Brother, you long long no drive taxi liao lah, today, there are many young TDs unlike our times, most I see are quite discipline and also many hv small families to take cares, all guai guai with wife also working, and surprisingly, most are ex SAF Army and Navy formerly regular. so they are not like our times..today wu, today spent, tomorrow, let tomorrow worry by itself. and for that matter, dun look down on old taxi drivers too, some lau uncle taxi driver like me...can even buy another house liao,..but not for family.

Orr, got discipline is good.......
When I start last time, also jin discipline, meter only jump 10ct, every night, go home count money, not becos earn a lot, becos too many $2, $5 and coins.......
Now, tia gong, don't need to count, everyday maybe only 10-15 trips, quality pax......
Earth is forever spinning, today I left, tomorrow another one jump in, today I hit 73, tomorrow another reach 30 yrs old.......
Whether taxi industries is improving or not, depend on point of entry, currently, apps siao......
Getting incentive to drive less, working smart? I don't know.......
Must learn to save, but how many can do that? Not becos they involve in vices, I got kakis driving day to night, but money just not enough, inflation? I don't know, cost of living high? I don't know.......
But TD can listen my advise today, try to put a $5 or $10 or even $2 everyday into a piggy bank after every shift......
Don't touch and don't think of that, one day, when you throw key back, break the piggy bank, you will know how useful.......
I broke mine last time, 4 figures inside.......

Pass time one...the best relief is those pass time one, seibei ching chai one...just like me, uncle, you take morning 6 to 6...I say..huh? no lah, i start 10 to 3 only, the rest you can take over, I no wash cab, no go service, if you go service, i still pay you the same half day rental, gum bo??? Bo lah, old taxi driver, bo teeth liao, that is why alway eat porridge only, but most the time, fish soup porridge, then after that, hv a kopi siew tai, + a stick of Ang hoon. But tia kong, bo teeth do BJ very good leh. So, Hirer prepare to give Blow away by their slow tactics. And FYI, old uncle like us, seibei poor in cleanliness one,...here pui, there pui..no clean taxi one

No lah, lau drivers like me, also got our good points mah, siao lian drivers, also got good and bad, but siao lian one, chiong all the way, many time overshot the time, then here tio long, there tio long..seibei ma huan one, everytime drive back, I hv to check the whole car.

Slightly more difficult to find customers these days after Uber and Grabcar's entry compared to 1 year ago. Maybe new taxi drivers feel discouraged when they could not hit their targets.
When I started driving 1 year ago, I was motivated because I improved in earnings almost every month starting off with slightly over $100 from 11 hours of day driving (on the second day). Fuel prices were higher those days. By the end of the 6th month, I was already at the "happy" level and continued to improve until I changed hirer and got bad day hours. Only after that I went OMO.
No choice one....you just have to continue OMOing until you could find another relief. But luckily you LAO JIAO so can still make enough money (only have to put in extra hours) unlike new drivers. All the best to you.

Still got many pax lah, knn, that day pick one guy at Swissotel stamford..with baggages, thought ho say liao,...AP, but knn, kena Furama city front..nabey. So nicely ask pax, Sir, why you swtich hotel, he told me, he stayed at Swiss for 3 days, then wanted to extend, but hotel say, no more room, all fully booked, he hv to leave, so he look around..most hotel full, finally get Furama...in my mind I was thinking...knn, bo lui stay at swissotel si bo?? that is why shifted, ..but end trip, he gives me $5 tips..ki ka ki chiu unload bags for him. So from here, we know that Singapore is still attractive and people are still coming..what really happen will be after March when MTI announce the 1st quarter result, then after, we might go into a technical recession. By that time...I will not be asking for $50,..maybe need $100 to tong liao.
