We must vote for change, new party, new govt!
Strangely, TDs benefitted from more foreigners and properties also benefitted a lot. Still, ppl are not happy with that policy....
I believe we would reach a First World Parliament status one day....but it would not happen fast.
And dont expect freak election results this time as it seems highly unlikely based on election 2011's results.
PAP's districts are only likely to be vulnerable when the old guard steps down unless the voters do not like the incumbent. The GRC system was designed to eliminate this risk. One recent example is they absorbed Joo Chiat into Marine Parade GRC when old guard Charles Chong would be stepping down. My opinion is he is supposed to step down in 2016. But they had a last minute change of plan and instead send him to Punggol East to contest hoping for an upset victory. If he wins, it is a bonus; if he loses, he retires from politics at age of 62 with no real loss to them (as he was supposed to make way for new blood to come in).

I do not think TD benefited from having more foreigners. Property agents benefitted a lot as well as richer people with more than 1 piece of property benefited a lot.
Punggol East is back to home base for Charles Chong..He was from Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and fought for Buangkok MRT to be opened earlier.
So he is the only PAP candidate that has a chance in Punggol East.
