  to summon local drin\ver especailly td. now at FM98.5 taxi driver complain that at taxi stand Malaysian registered cars just drove in to cut Q to snatch pax. they claim they are also taxi drivers(actually as Uber X or Grab car.)

  Too late liao. U dont support, others will. There are many Jiu Hu Kias using malaysia phones with GT app. They have every right to book a Jiu Hu Cab in Singapore and pay in Ringgit.

  LUI TUCK YEW PUBLISHES EMOTIONAL POST ANNOUNCING MOULMEIN-KALLANG DISSOLUTION

  In a cryptic message on his Facebook, Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew had some emotional words for his followers and grassroot leaders, which seem to hint at a possible departure for the troubled former scholar-general. Read his post here:

  Regarding the boundary changes, we know that Mouleim is being divided up and it will join different GRCs. For me of course there is a sense of disappointment because I have been with the residents for so many years already and I’ve become very fond of them and I will miss them dearly.

  I know that for the grassroots leaders, the volunteers, even the branch activists, this will come as a surprise and will also be a huge disappointment to them, but we have to understand why this is happening.

  I know Prime Minister has given the guidelines to the boundaries committee to have smaller GRCs, and to create smaller GRCs, then naturally the boundaries will have to shift. In this case, Moulmein is one of the more affected constituencies.

  So I hope that the residents and all the volunteers can see it in that light but most important of all, we must continue to serve those whom we have been serving all these years, and do our best for them, reach out to them as much as ever before. When they join the new advisers in the different constituencies in time to come, bond with the new team; like how we have been able to build a cohesive and responsive team over the last 10 years.

  I’ve been really privileged, really blessed to serve alongside a very dedicated team. I’ve benefited much from their counsel, their hardwork, but most of all from their friendship. So I leave with a sense of sadness.
  As for me, what is going to happen, well, I have some ideas of what the possible plans are but I’m sure you’d understand that this is not quite the right time for me to talk about it.

  TP Minister Lui Tuck Yew seems to be in danger.  People that take MRT to work everyday are unhappy about frequent MRT breakdown (although this one seems more tied to the 7-digit salary head of MRT who makes more than most Ministers).  People who drive to work or take taxi to work (and possibly taxi drivers) are unhappy about ERP (Everyday-Rob-People) and future ERP2 (Easier-2-Rob-People) systems.  Fortunately for him, voters of Moumein-Kallang GRC do not take MRT to work so he seems safe as few of them were affected by the latest MRT breakdown. But that GRC would cease to exist comes next election. The elimination of Moumein-Kallang GRC seems to be targetted at "protecting" the Transport Miniser.  LTA head is also one of the five members of the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee.  The old Transport Minister MP Raymond Lim would be stepping down this coming election according to Wikipedia ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singaporean_general_election,_2017 ).together with MP Wong Kan Seng, MP Mah Bow Tan and SM Goh Chok Tong.

  just open up the taxi sector and let yellow top taxi coming in la. one rule is to register with LTA and the yellow top licence is given to those taxi drivers who in the industries for more than 10 years. licence cannot be transfer. from there is up to the yellow top driver themselve to do own business. join any transport apps also can as long as follow the basic rule of taix business. this way LTA can enforce rules on Uber X or Grab car private cars that  is not allow to register with them. only yellow top taxis can do it. and for those taking malaysian cars it is at the own risk of the passengers to do so.
