I know this might have been discussed before but I'd really like to know what's the story behind this guy. Obviously, he's mentally unsound. Why isn't airport security taking action to move him away?

He always seems angry with drivers not moving along fast enuff lol. Does he live at the airport? If not, it's quite a commute to travel back n forth everyday. I really do think he needs to be helped n doesn't belong in the area. His legs are in bad shape and he walks across the lanes quite alot. Accident waiting to happen. Wonder if CAG knows about him n just doesn't bother since not tourist area.

People like him cannot even do security work or drive taxi. Maybe he also cannot wash dishes because of skin problem. Life is very cruel to him. When I see him I tell myself that there are people who are more unfortunate than me. I have seen this guy around the chinese cyber cafe near the sims avenue and aljunied rd junction.

Why u worry so much, he do no harm mah, let him be lah, you report him, he gets send to IMH< lost his freedom, mai lah...we might end up as his successor hor.

Dun anyhow call ppl mad lah..Why he always in T2? Why not T1 or T3? If you know the answer and why TD give him money he take, then you know he not mad lor...

T2 taxi q can take cover inside and away from public eyes. T1 and T3 under the sun. No good lah. This guy not gila one.

You alway kenna pax cheat, how to donate. Anyway, to donate or not to donate is up to individual, if you feel happy in giving him, go ahead, if not, it is just fine. It does not imply that if you donate, you next pax will be tuas south, and dun donate will be Flora Road ok. Already drive and Q until gong gong liao...why go bother him so much. You think Changi AP Marshal and sweeper blur blur one...dunno his existence ar?? Talking about sweeper, got one PRC quite pretty ah soh sweeper alway smile at me whenever I said hello to her..ni how..

I'm not gonna report him la. Just feel sad for the situation he's in. He's also putting himself in danger just like cardboard aunty n uncle pushing cart on busy roads. Also, pissed off our gahmen provides no help for such people.

In life, some people are at a stage where they dont need to worry so much about danger anymore. Death is viewed as a liberation when u reach this stage. Unless u r wealthy and healthy, life can be meaningless for many people. Even dogs and cats got spca to take care of them. We singaporeans got nobody to look out for us. Pap, lta, cdg, hdb dun give a damn whether we live or die.

As far as my memory can remember, he is there very long lo, we use to think that he siao one, those time he is still healthy, but si beh energetic, the way he command like RSM like that, carry a roll up newspaper like tongkat......
But his timing of airport also no horse run, only when high demand of taxi than you will see him there, so he like a beacon to us, so can understand why some old cabbies like to give him a dollar or 2, as sympathy or whatsever la......
In my last few months of driving last time, hardly can see him around, thought he report to bowah liao, hahaha......
But he also knn, let me catch him a few times at Lor 8 kopi shop lim ang di kao, I see him one time will fark him one time, Nabey we TD hard earn money plying the road, he jin song lim jiu here......he is still ok that time......
Now, from you guys, he look like got sickness liao, knn la, I no sympathy for him, zo lang aka aka tio ho, he expect TD to donate him, but instead of seeing doctor go lim jiu and how lian again?.......

This guy is in a place he's not supposed to be. He may not worry about any danger around him but what if one day he gets hits by a taxi? Imagine what the taxi driver has to go thru because this unsound guy's action. What this guy needs is help from some welfare organisation and needs to be taken away from there. So many years nothing happen but doesn't mean something won't happen some day.

If our welfare organisation will just take him in like that, there will be a long q of people trying to be self-employed airport taxi q marshallers. Singapore got many homeless and sick people living meaningless lives. This country got no welfare one. Look at TAFEP for our PMEs, WDA assistance schemes, PGP medical benefits - focus on the entry requirements. None of the schemes will help the destitute old man picking cardboards and empty drink cans for a living.
Things like Utilities-Save, Workfare, S&CC rebates - are given to people who dont need it. They should pass it to these destitutes. Our system rewards those who know to game the system.

Aiya, as said, in giving, we should not question where the giving goes to, the essence is in yourself, your heart, your compassionate side and your blessing. You give him $2, he takes it, it is his, and whatever he do thereafter, is beyong our control, the key lies that you give, after giving, you feel happy, you feel you helped someone and you hv a compassionate heart. You dun give him, also not wrong, no need to feel remorseful or guilty that you do not give, it is up to you, there is no rules governing it. Drive on and happily take your pax. So in conclusion, as one hokkien song said...Huan Hee tio ho.
