Thought all along the camera there only catch pte cars for illegal parking? Wrong. Kena a letter from LTA, fine $70. Says parking on double yellow line, caught by CCTV. Waiting also cannot....sian.
Under the Road Traffic Act, "Park" means to bring a motor vehicle or a trailer to a stationary position and cause it to wait for any purpose other than that of immediately taking up or setting down persons, goods or luggage.
The above law must remember by heart
Why never appeal?
With these LTA camera, I think can forget picking pax in front of fu lu shou building. It's a bus bay. Saw a TC went in to pick a pax recently
any place that got camera, i rather dun take la..
at time like this,
i might forget to move, i position my taxi at the wrong place, n dun know
what kind of fark excuse by the cb laws that is even more flexible
than hookers just to milk $$$$ out of cabbies..

Yah, prefer JEM but after 12am, boh lang one. Jcube still got hope because got offices there. Anyway, not going to queue there anymore.
$70, meaning consider mild liao, if queue beyond taxi stand is $50 fine, why only tio $70 for double yellow line offence meaning they quite lenient on you le.....
Those camera if tio is $300 and 3 points if I can remember properly, the sign also big big show there.....

You go see those camera area again than come tell me.....
Some excerpts from govt webbies :
How did my parking offence escalate to more than $100?
When a parking offence is committed, reminder notices will be sent to the vehicle owner or driver for settlement. If there is no response or payment made within the stipulated grace periods, an additional $100 will be imposed on the original amount.
Can I still settle the summons without attending Court, even though I missed the payment due date stated on the Court letter 50/2/2M?
You have to pay $300 under ATOMS (Automated Traffic Offence
Management System) at any AXS station before 5pm on the Court Mention
Date stated on the letter.
Otherwise, you will need to attend Court if no payment is made for the
case by 5pm on the Court Mention Date stated. A Warrant of Arrest will
be issued against you if you are absent from Court.
What are the penalties that would be imposed by the Court?
The penalty would be either a Court Fine of up to $2,000 and/or an imprisonment of up to 3 months.

I kena warning better before at Jcube from LTA for queuing outside the yellow box ( I think just first taxi outside box). After that I dare not queue at clementi or jcube for more than 30 seconds if outside yellow box.
Anyone ever thio picking up customers at bus stops or stopping customers at bus stops? Bus stops are customers favour pick-up points and stopping points because they are safest and cause least traffic congestions. But regulation is cannot stop within 9 metres of bus-stop.
One example, Fu Lu Shou Complex no taxi stand but always got customers and they alway flag at positions that would not cause inconveniences to buses.
Stopping at meet regulations-requirement-positions (outside 9m from bus-stops) is more dangerous and would cause traffic congessions.
I would not stop for customers at bus stops if got buses there; if I do stop, I make sure I stop at the front most position such that I would not obstruct any bus that might enter the encaving. But it is actually still a violation of the regulations yet it is better than stopping dangerously further and causing traffic congressions or ignoring customers who also always complain about green light taxis not stopping for them.
However, I would never enter bus lanes during their operational hours.
I also ever got scolded by the driver of another car that was behind me. He said he almost hit my taxi because I stopped at the road side suddenly when customer wanted to stop despite me having my hazard lights on.
