When it come to private, there is nothing much to argue, they can alway said, I am ferrying my relatives...cannot meh?? So, for that matter, since it is a very hard to determine case, I suggest we just drive on and fark care so much, otherwise, life will be more and more diffcult. And then on the other hand, if you cannot take it or find not justifiable, why not join him?

Singapore people ai yo. See something buay song, reflex action is to complain. When you complain and make noise, PAP must do something. And they will use as excuse to screw you in tighter somemore. When you see a loop hole, just shut the fark up unless you think it is a murder, scam or robbery case. This 'small problem' could be another fellow Singaporean's rice bowl. We are all citizens born and bred here. Please dont make life more difficult for each other on this tiny island.

Before Uber and Grab, airport arrival pick up point not so crowded. Nowadays so many Alphards, Vellfires, Malaysian Innova, Starex all come and snatch business from local taxi, limo and high roof. Even ECP last bus stop before reach airport, the open slot just nice for 3 cars to park there. Two years ago, I only see taxis there. KNN now is all the private plate cars holding up the space. Maybe they got arrival jobs, or maybe they waiting to secure arrival jobs from Uber or Grab. Not sure how taxi uncles feel, but this may or may not be a good thing depending on your perspective.

CDG limo jobs getting lesser. Many pax switched to X+meter bookings. Taxi rental going up with every batch. LKY is not around anymore. The new generation of ministers are scholar generals who only understood an elite lifestyle. So far the normal taxi are still doing ok. It is the limocab and private limo drivers who are badly hit starting from 1-2 yrs ago. Every year got new retrenched PMETs and FT turned new citizens coming into taxi and limo trade. It is not getting any easier. This election if you dont teach the PAP a lesson, the next 5 yrs will be even worse. It is getting harder every year to earn a living just by holding the steering wheel. Dont forget the medishield life premiums hor. Cabbies will have to fork out more money into CPF every year.

This private taxi hirer is trying to fleece the rider
Based on uber rates , 30km ride lasting about 30mins would only cost about S$26.00 (base fee $3.50 +30km x $0.50 + 30mins x $0.25)
Its definately cheaper than taking taxi , cos no peak hours , no city area surcharge, no booking fee
standardise fare structure , even at midnite, so taking uberx at midnite is 10 to 20% cheaper than taking taxi

Is just like why same same as property agent, people can get million dollar comm....
Unless all the uberx or grab are ban by our authority, or else what they do, how they promote themselves is their own business.....
Pax wanted to choose them definitely got their reason.....
Maybe one day, I should try their services.....
