
SINGAPORE: Two men and a woman, aged between 21 and 22, were arrested on Thursday (May 14) for attempted armed robbery with hurt.
A 56-year-old man reported early on Thursday that he was injured by three people who tried to rob him in his taxi at Lim Chu Kang Chinese Cemetery, said the police in a news release.
Officers identified the suspects and arrested them at Jalan Boon Lay on the same day at about 4am.
The suspects will be charged in court on Friday. If convicted, each of them faces a jail term of between five and 20 years. The men may also face at least 12 strokes of the cane if convicted.
