Bro GetCarter you are right, I am a Hirer and I am Night shift.
My relief stay in Yishun and I stay in CCK, he was with me for more than 2 years liao.
And Everyday he make more money than me.
He can suka suka go back Malaysia for 3~4 Day and I don't need him to pay me $20 or $30 per day.
Why ??????

Smlj 本事, taxi driving after knowing most of the roads and apps, no need smlj skill already, and for taxi driving, to earn mean, you hv to spend more time on the road, more paxs or more VIP paxs and therefore more work, more driving. This is not call 本事, this is call hard work which is translated in hard life. You sacrificed your time, brain and your physical for more money, 本事 is something that you do not need to sacrifice all these, and money still flows in, like our govt..and me. 蜘蛛快�

Rat, where got problem, some can cook and eat one hor... more scaring are getting the wrong relief driver, with fark up discipline...hirer siao liao

Night, you need good eyesight, and more experiences to know where to go, when to stop and how to get/grab good pax that do not go far from City. However, if we take it from a working life view, night shift in any jobs, earn more, night shift workers earn more allowances, same goes to night TP, night hostess, night restuarant will charge more..night waiteress will earn more...so naturally, TDs driving nite should and must earn more.

To me the real "night shift" starts at midnight
That's where u need to plan your strategy carefully
Where to go-where to queue-when is the best time to stop n go hm
No point goin round n round empty
Evening peak hr must wack till max to compensate the loss after midnight
Some will go for break half an hr or earlier b4 midnight around 1130pm then start at midnight again if u notice
I rather wack all the way till midnight then go for break
Miss the timings you'll left with ghost only at night lol

Thanks for sharing, anyway, every nite drivers also got their own way and pattern of driving, starting, you might not know, but as time goes by, slowly you will know where to go, Q, time to stop, rest, whack...this are not by the book kind of stuff, it is all experiences and getting use to it. Like nite driving, 1/2 hr no pax is common, but to a newbie from day driving, he might not be able to take it...lols

It is like cat and mouse game, you go in, test the ground here and there, here too many Cabs, there less...you go there, then suddenly, many come to know there, you swtich again lor, because at night the numbers of taxis reduced as time goes by, many OMO would have gone back home, so it is good for those driving nite to go out abit later.
