Aiyah, this overturned taxi is long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away...got clue in the peekture, neber notice meh?
A private tutor has taken to Facebook to express her heartfelt thanks to a selfless taxi driver that she encountered last Friday.
On Jan 29, Ms Elizabeth Chua boarded the cab SHD 4957 near Woodlands Interchange and was headed to Choa Chu Kang. Halfway through the journey, the roads got extremely congested.
Upon arrival at the entrance of the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), the vehicles were barely moving and that was not good news at all.
Elizabeth started panicking as she was rushing to her tutee's home and horrible traffic would mean an expensive ride.
However, what the taxi driver did a that point was extremely unexpected.
He advised Elizabeth to alight at the nearest bus stop and take the train instead, as the jam did not seem to be clearing any time soon.
And just for her to do that, he cut across two lanes, which was no mean feat in the horrible jam.
When it was time to alight, the taxi driver waived the cab fare, and simply told Elizabeth to hurry to her tutee's house.
In her Facebook post, Elizabeth said:
"The meter fare would probably jump to $20 or even more if he hadn't dropped me.
"It felt like a single thank you wasn't enough because it was only on the train that I realized the jam was extremely bad.
"He had to go through the jam without any customers since it was impossible for him to make a U-turn.
"Faith in humanity definitely restored. Thank you so much uncle! Only managed to get his car plate number (SHD 4957 Y), but not his name. "

SINGAPORE - Police are investigating after a 52-year-old cabby was found dead in his taxi parked at East Coast Road on Wednesday afternoon.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force received a call at around 2.15pm, alerting it to an unconscious man locked inside a car.
Paramedics later pronounced the man dead and police said they are investigating the case as an unnatural death.
The carpark was cordoned off by police and the CityCab taxi, owned by ComfortDelGro, was covered with a white sheet.
ComfortDelGro's group corporate communications officer Tammy Tan said: "We are deeply saddened by the demise of our cabby. We are in touch with his family and are assisting them as best we can. We will also assist the police in their investigations."

A 23-year-old man, who took part in an armed robbery bid which left the victim - a taxi driver - with cuts on his finger, lip and forehead was on Friday (Feb 26) jailed for 11 months.
Tan Jing Zi pleaded guilty to a charge of causing hurt with common intention and to a count of theft.
A district court heard that in May last year, Tan and two friends hatched a plan to rob an elderly taxi driver as they were jobless and desperate for money.
They got into a Trans-Cab taxi in Tampines at about midnight on May 14 and asked the driver to go to the Chinese cemetery in Choa Chu Kang Road.
After they reached the cemetery, Tan and Eng Wan Fong, 22, ran out of the taxi to act as look-outs, while Eng's boyfriend, Goh Tong Chien, 22, took out a chopper hidden in his bag and started slashing cabbie Sazali Abdullah, 58, from behind.
Mr Sazali used his right hand to fend off the attacks.
But the sight of blood splattered all over the taxi scared the assailant so much that he fled without taking any money. Goh threw the chopper into a nearby drain.
Mr Sazali drove out of the cemetery to the main road and called the police. He was given 17 days of medical leave.
The trio who took part in the attack were arrested at about 4am on the same day.
Just a week before the attack, they also stole from a Challenger shop at Tampines Central.
On May 6, together with Tan's girlfriend Goh Hui Si, 18, the trio jointly stole $120 worth of accessories for Goh's mobile phone.
The alarm at the security gantry of the store was activated and rang loudly when they left, but shop staff were not able to catch up with them.
In sentencing Tan, District Judge Low Wee Ping said "a stint of incarceration would be necessary".
A pre-sentencing report had found Tan to be unsuitable for probation.
The judge noted that Tan had been issued with several police warnings since he was 17, for offences ranging from theft to trespassing.
In 2008, he stole a bicycle. The next year he stole hair gel from a shop. Around this time, he also joined a secret society.
At 16, he started drinking alcohol with his friends. At 17, he had sex with a minor.
In 2014, he threw a lighted cigarette into a rubbish bin at an Institute of Technical Education campus and caused a fire. Last year, he stole 15 items from a shop and went door-to-door collecting money without a licence.
Tan also has a daughter with a former girlfriend. He did not take responsibility for the child because he had told her to abort the baby.
For his role in hurting Mr Sazali with a weapon likely to cause death, Tan could have been jailed for seven years, fined and caned.
For his role in the theft, he could have been jailed for seven years and fined.
Under the law, when a crime is committed jointly by several persons, each person is liable for it as if it was committed by just one of them .
Goh, who pleaded guilty to three charges, including one of slashing the cabby and one of punching his aunt in her eye while drunk, was jailed for 22 months with three strokes of the cane in December last year.
Eng, a single mother, was sentenced to 12 months' jail last month for her role in the attack on Mr Sazali.

Which Chinese would go Chinese cemetery midnight? I believe no Chinese would do that.....so if someone wants to go there that time, either ghost or robber.
Originally posted by bowah:Who say so? Do you know that Lim Chu Kang cemetery is also an industrial, there are many caretakers, cleaning, maintenance staffs, priests, monks, imans, pastors, grave diggers, fengshui masters, casket drivers, relatives of the death going there at midnight and early morning hor? I use to go there at midnight too??? early morning, can see the green smoke at some new grave.
Really? Very surprised. That place Yin Qi very strong so sure got ghost one. Even Fu Qui San Zhuan there closes very early at around 5-6pm and does not allow folks to visit at night (so must be they also believe the ghost would come out).
Personally I never encountered any passenger asking me to fetch me there but would reject if asked to fetch customers there unless they are in monk/priest attire or is a famous Feng Shui master. Not worth taking the risk to go there even though LTA ruling is cannot reject customers (in this situation probably can cover ass and not lose taxi license as I heard Minister CCS commenting on this issue on TV before too).
Originally posted by bowah:Always remember that Singapore is a 24hrs economy, both people and ghost are functioning 24hrs, as the saying goes, in Singapore, even you sleep at nite, you still need to pay this and that, and the paying continue even you are at rest in peace.
Relative visit cemetery or temple also have to pay for the cleaning and maintenance, altho it is up to individual to pay how much, but also hv to pay mah, that is why they said, in Singapore, you died already also must pay and pay.
Smlj Yin Qi, Fu Qui San Zhuang close is because working hr for the monks over liao mah, you want them to work overtime ar??? they need to go Chinatown shopping one hor.
Many people hv the wrong concept of death places, it is nothing but a place for you to rest in peace, and like it or not, all of us will hv to be there, so better get use to the place first so that later when you come, you are more seasoned.
People pay more than $10000 for a compartment in Fu Gui San Zhuang. Day time working so only at night got time to visit deceased folks there.
I know monks also need to rest at night but they could have left minimal staffs to operate until 10-11pm so that those that paid a lot could visit. Must be they also felt that at night the ghosts would come out as the place and surrounding areas Yin Qi super strong plus Qi most Yin at night.
All these taxis that have cabbies passed away inside what do the taxi companies like Comfort do with it? Exorcise, get few monks to chant prayers, never do anything just clean it up and let out for hire again or scrape it?
All these cabs got people die inside 1 who still dare to hire.
