What happen here is past, RIP to the died. More importantly will be what happen next??? Most properly, taxi driver will be ban from driving, fine and jail a week or so. Also good, at least can get out of driving for good.

What's he doing? Cabby leaves door open as he inches forward in heavy traffic
A driver was travelling along what appears to be Airport Boulevard when he spotted a taxi driver inching through heavy traffic with his door wide open.
In a video posted on the Singapore Taxi Driver Facebook page yesterday night (Apr 16) by Chu Teck Fah, the blue Comfort taxi can be seen driving along the road with the door open throughout the minute-long video.
Netizens who saw the video were amused, with one giving a very blunt comment: "He farted."
Another gave a possible reason as to why the incident might have happened.
"He is sharing his music with others in the queue.
"By opening the door, the speaker on the door can spread the sound better."

Grab will never buy any organization, especially so, TC, a chicken farm SME company, always remember that Grab is an apps run by young punks just like facebook, twitter or our shopping and eating apps like honeybee, Ninjavan, Pandafoods, groupon, lazada which all are doing internet consignment business, they own the apps, all others thing that is connected to them, are just partners.
So for grab to take over a taxi companies, I think is it a reverse backward business, which is not and never in their dictionary of innovative disruption thru digital and technology.

Grab will only buy the name and kill off competitor, as they put it, they will not absorb the manpower and staff of SMRT, so today, you hear PRIME Boss of wanting to buy SMRT together with the manpower and staff of SMRT. But then, SMRT and GRAB do share a common shareholder in it, aka Temasek. So do you think SMRT will sell to Prime, a private entity? As I said again, grab is a tech company, so they must remain as one, buying over taxi companies is to more or less kill 3,400 competitors at one shot, at the same time, using SMRT brand to lure smrt current driver into apps driver by converting all the smrt taxis into grabtaxi which they will offered it to any rental company who wish to contract it.

1 injured after taxi crashes into tree in Toa Payoh
SINGAPORE: A 67-year-old taxi driver was injured after his vehicle skidded and hit a tree along Toa Payoh Lorong 8 on Thursday (Apr 27).
The police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a taxi at 2.47pm. It's believed the taxi collided with the front part of the car which was making a right turn at a T-junction, and the impact caused the cab to hit a tree at the side of the road.
The taxi driver of the SMRT cab was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital in a conscious state. Channel NewsAsia understands that the driver of the other car and its passenger were not injured.
Police investigations are ongoing.

Hourly rate SMRT cab lah, I rent before, non peak 3.80, peak 5 to $6++/hr But I tell you hor, the cab is not well maintain and inside, lots of rubbish, and nobody wash it, alots of cigar and cigarette smell...insects, toothpicks, spits, foul urine, vomit alcohol smell....seats also got stain, this type of share share cab, nobody care one.

Chicken rice boss calls taxi driver to say sorry, will give 200 packets of chicken rice to cabbies
The man who was filmed mocking a taxi driver has apologised to the cabby and, as a gesture of goodwill, he has promised to give 200 packets of chicken rice to other cabbies.
Mr Gary Lim, who is the boss of The Yang's Traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice, incurred the wrath of netizens recently when a video went viral of him blocking a taxi driver's way and telling him that he "cannot do big things" as he is a taxi driver.
Mr Lim, 37, has since apologised to the taxi driver, a 33-year-old who is identified only by his surname, Sun. To show his remorse, Mr Lim's outlets at 8 Braddell Road and 562 Serangoon Road will prepare 200 packets of chicken rice - 100 per outlet - for taxi drivers on Tuesday (May 2), Shin Min Daily News reported on Sunday (April 30).
Due to space constraints, and so as to let more people enjoy the food, each taxi driver will get one packet and only takeaways will be possible.
Mr Lim apologised to Mr Sun on Saturday (April 29) evening during a phone conversation, which ended with Mr Sun wishing Mr Lim well, adding that he hoped they could move on from the incident.
Speaking in Mandarin, Mr Lim said: "I want to apologise. I drank too much and said some senseless things. But I had no intention of harming you. Frankly, I was quite rash, I said things I shouldn't have said, and hope you can accept my apology."
To this, Mr Sun replied: "I feel this apology isn't an issue, in fact I didn't take (the incident) to heart. I'm already at peace. But before I formally accept your apology, I want to let you know that no matter what problem a person faces in life, he should not vent his anger on others."
"You are a grown man, not a child," Mr Sun added. "So I hope you'll treat this as a lesson, keep moving forward, become more amicable, and not look down on other people's jobs. Whether you are a cleaner, or a big boss, I feel this is a question of basic respect towards others."
Mr Lim had approached Shin Min Daily News himself, as he hoped to have the chance to apologise to the Mr Sun in person. However, as the latter was busy with work on Saturday evening, the newspaper helped to facillitate a phone conversation between the two men.
In the 2min 4sec viral video filmed on Thursday (April 27), Mr Lim appears drunk and is shown blocking the taxi driver from closing his door.
"Look I have so much money, I can't control myself," Mr Lim says in Mandarin, and begins counting money - including $1,000 dollar notes - in front of Mr Sun.
He then lunges at Mr Sun, trying to grab his phone, before laughing.
This was not the only video of a man flaunting his wealth to have gone viral online.
At 1am on Thursday (April 27), another man refused to pay his $15 taxi fare when he arrived at his destination in Jalan Chermat, saying that he ran a "million-dollar business", and "had plenty of money", Shin Min Daily News reported on Sunday (April 30).
The man, who looked like he was in his 40s, only agreed to pay his fare after the police were notified.
