In some oil and rig plant that i worked previously, major holiday like CNY, ND, Hari raya etc are paid three times the basic salary, Sunday and all other holiday are paid double. So, if you are a taxi driver working on a CNY, by right you should be earning triple, and on Sunday, you should be earning double. Right? Because you hv to spent your time serving others while others are enjoying their holiday and rest days. Restuarants and many other retail shop including cinemas are charging higher on weekends and not offering any discount because their staff hv to work and get double paid, the cost will then put into the consumers, that is you and me. Why then, is taxi fare on weekends and holidays worst than normal day...in regards to morning peak?? My suggeston will be...weekends should hv a standard of 20% on top of fare for the whole days, not only you will get taxis, the drivers can also be more willing to serve and drive on weekends. As like all other merchanised business, prices on weekends and holiday are exceptionally higher (like buffets), taxis end up cheaper..phuixxx

Just bring back the holiday surcharge of $1 can liao lah. No need 20%. $1 very fair liao. Since everywhere price increase from $0.50-$2

Holiday surcharge also can, but today, LTA like to talk about percentage, percentage like 30% can be more than that $1 surcharges, a $10 trip is $3 extra instead of $1. Surcharges are more stagnate as it cannot move so suddenly, whereas by percentage wise, it can be tweet easier as cost goes up. Moreover, by imposing percentage on top of fare, most paxs hardly notice or choose not to bother so much, by giving a fix variables like surcharges, you can see the public are not happy. Just like the case of CBD, it is not abt after 6pm 35% on top of normal fare issue, it is about the CBD $3 issue, peoples take issue on surcharges more than the extra percentage charges, psychological effect at play. -

Tell them to keep their bloody mouth shut and dun suggest stupid exercises or smlj medical checkup or lower cost GP visit. Most cabbies served NS, you think they dunno how to exercise and take care themselve ar??? Go to the exact point of the problem, then you can solve it, like chinese saying, use the right medicine to cure the right illness, otherwise, it might get more worse. cannot lower rental lar, infact must higher, this is to make sure cabbies work longer hours to meet LTA's taxi availability stardards

Bo lah, after peak is PCC time...then after PCC go koon. If got earn extra, no need to PCC, ask bak bak to do it. Remember to pamper yourself
