what is this route from redhill to Waterloo street?

hi all, i usually take a cab from redhill to waterloo street on certain days, n i notice diff cab drivers take diff routes. most of them will go through the orchard road area then to dhoby ghaut plaza sing, then bras basah mrt / hotel rendezvous, then reach waterloo st.
the fare for this route is $17+-.
got one time this cab driver took another route, somewhere passing through the telok blangah area, then outram, tiong bahru, tj pagar, raffles place, city hall then bugis...
this road is slower with more red lights n waiting but the price is only $11+ due to no erp etc.
anyone has an idea of the 2nd route so that i can tell the driver next time? tks!

Either route has ERP, because waterloo street is in the ERP area.
Shortest route would be tanglin road-->orchard road-->queen st
Alternate short route would be tiong bahru rd-->ganges ave-->havelock rd-->new bridge rd-->victoria st

yes, i think that alternate short route is the one the other driver took.
i think i'll tell him what you said : go tiong bahru rd, ganges ave......
the only thing is that the traffic from redhill to tiong bahru rd to ganges ave is slow, until havelock area then things start to pick up faster.
it's funny somehow the alternate short route costs much less than the other one.
the cab driver told me it's due to 2 ERPs.

Best route = take mrt fm redhill than alight at bugis mrt than cross the rd reach liao
no need worry abt red lights,slow rds,longer waiting time etc etc....

Normal pax and quality pax are different ok???
like my fren, poolman always say...
if you get farked up pax, the whole journey also farked up...

fark up pax I like...because I can act as fark up driver anytime I hate normal and quiet paxs, especially on long journey, feel very sleepy, fark up one can light up my energy...kan them also shiok.

my route:
Redhill -> Jln Bukit Merah -> CTE -> Clemenceau Avenue Exit-> River Valley-> Hill St -> Victoria St -> Middle Rd-> Waterloo

Depend on which part of redhill lah...best is ask pax for the best road...no need to think so much, yet never get fark

Very easy, use Google Map & follow the GPS route & the driver will like you. Like that no conflicts. I won't tell you why.
But personally I like Ganges, Zion, Paterson. Grange, Orchard, Bras Basah then turn in Queen St. Waterloo already in ERP Zone. No money pay ERP take Number 16.

Aiya, so many roads can go one lah...just tell pax yr road..most will nod their head one lah, just drive...if so much problem about road, put BUSY and go home sleep
