sources I got is that some TDs from different category got free cappuccino from LTA for touting and overcharging
some pax 黑�黑。promise flat fee, reach destination, flip prata.

There is nobody to blame accept the cabbies themselves, out of greed, they take those cheapo pax..then end up aruging, smlj promising cannot trust one lah...even you call police, you also loose, may end up one night at police lock up with free breakfast for overcharging...Police breakfast not bad, once I went visit a cabby to bail him out, he was having Mac big breakfast..knn Aiya, you earn $50 more or less, also would't make you a millionaires, and even you huat, end of the month also same same. To earn profit in taxi driving is simple, just follow the regulations

You want to whack, also must be smart mah, of course you can get $50 per trip lobangs, but if end up, pax refuse to keep his or her promises, you must be prepare to swallow it and just charge the fare price. And to my experiences, most of them will keep their promise, but there are of cos some black sheep in everything, including taxi driver who think New Year or christmas eve is for them to take advantage, then you better think thrice. What NY and Xmas Eve bring about is more paxs whole night long...not about touting or disposal fare. -
Fetch an ang moh and his Chinese girlfriend to Yio Chu Kang after midnight. Fare was $12.
He said he loves Singapore taxis. He said in London, that kind of distance after midnight easily costs 6x more. I was like "huh, wtf?". We are overworked, underpaid ... sigh

Yah, not so long trip but point is he said he will have to pay 6x more in London. No wonder London cabbies are not like our cabbies here. Here like "job of last resort", only for desperadoes. Hope this will change soon....

LJ lah pax now bo lui liao lah. Last few years ago new year eve when I first started everywhere can see $50 flashing. Now even call also bo. Go out partying willing to spend. Sit taxi neow chee neow lan. So I just let them rot. No more eve driving for me.

Yalor, nowaday also very less flashing of $$, only see more flashing boobs and legs..no need to drive so hard lah, everyday is also a earning day, only a matter of you want to drive or not.

i think its because there's many public transport alternatives. party goers want to save a bit on transport, go countdown nearer to home

Aiyo, taxi fares so expensive, how to tip? Maybe cheap compared to Londoners but to most pax, it is really expensive, especially with surcharges. Many times, pax underpay, ignore the surcharges shown then when asked to pay more, they were shocked!
Yet we are not making much due to high cost.
Though got fare revision. What happened? No sound, no pic?
