Driver partner is Muslim so he declined to pick up pax with dog out of respect.
Copy and paste frm my taxi grp.
[02/01 5:30 pm] I took a Curr call yesterday n the pax hv a dog, as my
partner is a Malay, I explained to the pax but he make a complaint to
CDG. The arrogance IO called me this morning n he said "yr partner is
Malay, u r not a Malay, LTA regulations is that u can't refuse"
[02/01 5:32 pm] I dun know what to say to him n I told him GI do what is
right n let the whole SGP taxi drivers know what's CDG decision
[02/01 5:33 pm] That idiot IO said if it's health reason, I've to produce letter fm hospital
[02/01 5:35 pm] He threatened me that refuse to pick pax can b suspensed
[02/01 5:40 pm] I can only say, for CDG, when pax complaint, driver is alway wrong
[02/01 5:47 pm] I just checked with LTA, the duty officer said I can't
refuse to pick them cos I'm not a Malay. Either I clean up after they
alight or I look for another partner
[02/01 5:53 pm] Whatever it is, I'm HENG to hv spoken to an insensitive n idiot officer
not happy throw key back to CDG la.

blaming pax,IO,cdg blah blah
But I still don't understand y the driver who is not a Muslim rejected the pax n use his partner's religion as a excuse
Like tat how abt those bring in non halal food into taxi?
Cannot also bcoz partner is malay???
Maybe he's using tis method to siam the pax?
Knn buay song throw keys lah. KPKB SMLJ? Singapore only cdg wu taxi?
This evening I fetched a pax with dog. After that, I fetched two Muslim women. I did not clean the taxi after I fetched the pax with dog and the women don't know who I fetched before them. liddat how?
Aiyah, everyone give and take lah...sometimes we think too much for our Muslim bros and sis. They are okay one lah...most are moderate, sensible and practical people. .Otherwise, they will not be taking cabs at all or go to any public places where there may be dogs around. Tio boh?
All the TD needs to do is to ask his Malay partner if he mind him taking dogs. I am sure his partner will not mind. So difficult meh? It is easier to talk to partner than explain until cow come home to all those idiot pax, IOs and LTA ppl lah.

If dog is acceptable to everyone in the public, then allow dog in public transport.
Taxi is use by public users, including the TD. Dont double standard.
Taxis are not considered public transport, hence the double standards.

It is a fact that taxi is used by public users. It need to take into consideration of other public users taking the taxi.
Eg. can pax bring durian into the taxi? Can pax vomit in the taxi? If fetching dog need to clean up after they alight, it is the same thing like pax vomit in the taxi.
As long as the pax action will affect other public users, there is a reason why TD reject the request.
Originally posted by bowah:Gentlemen, we all hv to respect individual, I believe that the call did stated “pax with dog” so that is why, taxi company and LTA are going against it and sided the pax, but if that call did not state “pax with dog” then, TD hv the right to reject. As simple as that.
Case Close…next!
Booking did not state that the pax has dog...

If pax brings dog into taxi, it's the pax, dog and taxi driver.
If pax brings dog into MRT or bus, it's the pax, dog and a hundred other people of all races, religion, age and sex.
Thus, in an MRT or a bus, it is a direct contact with the dog and many many other people. That's why it is not allowed.
Yes, if you are so particular about such things, you can clean up taxi after pax alight, just like vomit.
Based on your reasoning, we should stop selling bak kut teh in hawker centres as the customers will spit the bones on the tables and it will affect others...lol.
