KNN my next door tell me Nov up. $3.80 bky lah. Good for those sampan but no good for those $3.90. Bo peak means less $1 when start meter during peak. Like that only benefit day driver. Night driver lugi liao. CCB

Presently $0.22 add 25% about $0.275. So after fare revision difference for peak per jump is only $0.025 but LESS $1 when start meter. So meter MUST JUMP 40 TIMES then can recover back the $1 difference. So short trip SUPER BO HUA liao. Must at least $15 trip then break even. CCB why everytime fare revision up fare like no up and pax still kpkb fare hike TD jin ho tan...#(*(^&@(#^&

Why throw key? If fare up then they no more rejection liao lah. Last time I drive Merc meter only $0.20 same as other taxi. So in fact easier to drive leh.

Taxi fare, taxi company ownself set. That's why got $3.20, $3.80 starting fares.
Knn, Prime taxis got location surcharge for TMFT. Other taxi companies dun have. Who approve? They ownself lah. Premier Taxis peak hour current booking charge is $4.50. They ownself suka suka set one,
PTC only endorse bus and MRT fares.

Yep, you are right. Taxi is not considered "public transport" so don't need PTC approval. Taxi companies set their own rates but I think they need to at least let LTA know in advance. Just talk only lah but expect some fare revision this Dec.

Even my ex chief fish porridge at Cambridge road increased from $3.50 to $4.50 liao, so if you compound/add up all your expenditure for the day including hp bills, house power supply bills, conservative bills and so on. Do you think fare jump from 22 cents to 30cents is alot??

In business, there is 2 ways to improve profit margin, one is to increase price, the other is to decrease in product/service, some meepok still selling at $2.50, but less one fishball and lesser meepok, then for me not enuf, must add on fishballs, meepok, bak pok yew, bak cho..end up paying $5...same same like bak bak I take, want take out bra, must add another $20.
