Taking on call job is no good strategy as high 20% no show

u can work it out,especially during peak hr,many pax are waiting for taxi,why not pick up waiting pax that is only less than 1 min travelling distance away. . if every hr taking is $20, every 5 min should get about $1.55, $25 taking should get $2 for 5 min $30 taking should get $2.50 for 5 min 10 min req to pick up (5 min to reach pickup pt,and wait 5 min),means yr lost opportunity is x 2 based on above calculation.,ie. $3.10,$4,$5 so the 10 min wasted could already be turned to more than $3 to $5 as u would have been by then driving the waiting pax on the road or at taxi stands.

But if u could tell me where paxs r waiting. Then no need take calls. At least on call can confirm got paxs

TS, u very contradicting leh... on the other thread you call those drivers who don't use 3rd party apps as loser... some more 100% losers .... on this thread you said take call no good strategy. .. so which is which??? Me now relly need to retire liao... make me till gong gong...

Got call, at ok place n time... take lah. call at arcadia adam park. Mustafa. Etc... can skip siam lah... on the usual day. just png what easy taxi or grab... no need waste r time unless no choice. Then switch to calk loh

Last night all sweep except last trip take call... too tired to sweep...after that keep car...

Now calls comes with destination so no harm losing tat 7-10mins ma
Drop near by only then can come bk to take call again
10-12mins trip during peak hr only wat not worth meh?

Calls useful lah, especially if u are in heartland. Usually such calls go to town so connection will be good. If already in town, then of course no meaning to take out of town calls

Well it all depends, If morning rush hrs,not wise to take call at heratlands,of course after fetch pax to town ,there is call fr town must take. LIkewise in the evening rush hrs,take call fr heartlands ,but not fr town. -
Aiya, if you drive taxis, and still want to go calculate this amount and that nos of pax, better throw key and be an accountant lah. Drive taxis must have a open mindset, good instinct and be humble. If you cannot even predict what is your next call or pax destination, why go calculate all these figures and crack your brain for fark?? We must be like Nike, just do it, for taxi driver, Just Drive it!

Just simply ask yourself one simple question...Why (not how) you want to be a taxi driver? There are numerous answers because we come from all walks of life, but instintively, we do share certain answers that is popular among all our taxi brothers. And one of the most common is be self employed with own time and targets and be more relax without any of those cb bosses or colleagues/ peer pressure. So how are you going to define a better relaxing life as a TD if you keep calculating and thinking of these strategies and that timming?? In any cases, it end up, no boss pressuring you, no colleagues pressuring you...but instead, you are pressuring yourself. So, is it worthy? at time, we have to go back to the basic, because to any laymen on the road, taxi driving might be consider as a temporary relief or last resort or to get more relaxing job, u just have to drive, if you lazy to drive, plan smlj also no use.
