Police indirectly encouraging non payment of taxi fares.

  This is a true case. Police do not allow td to hv particulars of this pax,will release inf to taxi co which will then forward to LTA. Taxi co had contacted NPC 3 x for inf,they did not bother to reply. After more than 2 mths,td co told him to see mp. Finally td see his POWERFUL MP,within a wk the police fr Hougang NPC contact the td,and said infor passed to taxi co . All in all this driver took 6 mths to recover non payment of $15/** Normally, for this small sum,this pax or many other pax thought this td will give up after more than a mth when they do not hear fr LTA or the police to follow up. and of course,they also bank on the hope that td can easily earn the $15/** driving for an hr.why bother to waste time,effort to chase for $15/**,and to attend court if pax fight it out.

  Had the police allow this td to hv pax particulars,can shame him to prevent more non payment,just as Phillip Yeo,former EDB chairman shame scholarship bond defaulter.

  Police just took down his particulars,bu twhen taxi co req for that they do not bother to reply. The particulars when co has it will be forwarded to LTA to chase the idiot for payment. Somemore this idiot challenged ths td to bring him to police for statement.this clearly shows that he is a frequent/seasoned non paying pax who knows td will find it not worth to follow up,just write off.

  chase what payment,when i complain to coy,coy first thing they will say no coutesy reimbursement.then they will say inform paxs,later forward to lta.lta says person can;t be contacted,so no case.my fare $48!   Some paxs cheat  fare. If ur not careful. Give u $50 change. Eg fare $17.50,u change back to him $32.50,but bcos I  quietly gave him and assume everything  oK, just  I turn my head to drv off, that smart scumbag quickly hide a $10note,and show me that I only change him $22.50!lesson  learned must say aloud the amount  change

  Haiz, as a Taxi driver, sometime, you get cheated, sometime, you become a maid, sometime, you become a boxing bag, sometime, you become other peoples's toy to vent their anger, sometime, you get push here and there, sometime, you get threatened, sometime, you get conned not only by pax, but also by the authority and even your own company. Ask you to throw key, you say old liao, outside no job suitable, then dun throw key, you kenna all these non sense that was never a part of your life. And I also believe that there must be a reason why that pax do not want to pay up. This is not a run fare case, this is a case whereby pax welcome the police, give statement and also dare to challenge the taxi driver.
