Ani kuan kong, I charged a few times bo tai chi..must be damn heng…but I did told the paxs on surcharge, they just gong gong and nod head only, must be no taxis there.
First question: I asked them the same question about getting into Mackenzie Rd must pass thru ERP gantry and they said still the taxi should not charge CBD surcharge becos Mackenzie Rd is not within CBD boundary.
Second question - I will charge $3 surcharge as long as it's within CBD boundary. There's a "End of CBD" sign board at the junction before you cross over to serangoon rd.
Rex is not under CBD and it's a fact.. Whether you want to pick pax or not is up to individual. You can chose not to pick the pax and or advise others to follow suit.
But what we should be talking is the facts.... Someone might get his ricebowl smashed because of the incorrect info...

According to the map, it is as the map shows the whole of the building inside CBD.

So the logical thing is to give facts like this case (no CBD surcharge at Mackenzie Rd), so that they know and do not overcharge to prevent getting the boot..

To be frank, it's haven't... and does not mean will never get Rex surcharges complaint.
Best is to avoid these type of complaints... really unnecessary and not worth it over $3..

yes fr the lta map mckenzie rd is outside cbd but the road at selegie is cbd.ie. just at those cofeeshops.i ever charge cbd at ue sq and sgh,even show pax the map,but both also blur blur!but one map sows rex cinema inside cbd!is one map produce by lta?

some cheapo pax will flag u near traffic junction, ask u move towards rex cinema, then no more $3 for cabby

Last night picked up a family at Pinnacle on Cantonment Rd. Did not charge CBD because not sure.
Let them rot? Where got such thiing as rot? They can easily get another cab, there are so many hungry TDs around.
Pax never rot, it is only the TDs that rot if they cannot find pax to earn their money.

just pick and go, if $3 matters to u, ignore and turn left into cbd to get the extra $3

erp boundry ends if u take left turn from selegie into mackenzie at the traffic lights.
on niven, it ends at the end of Niven and Mackenzie junction.
there's signs to tell u end of restricted zone

yes confirmed rex cinema got cbd charge until mac kenzie rd until bef become 2 way even after second hand carshowrm but not after public carpark
