Thank you for your posting. Now I can be very sure not to challenge the cams in Sentosa cause most of the time when I drive pax inside, I always respect the speed no matter whoever driver behind me is unhappy with me being xiao on. I have heard of a new cabby getting two digits summon in Sentosa within a day. Possibly can appeal but I don't know. Guess have to seek the replies from other seniors here. Wish you good luck! Speed limit 50km/hr, if u travel at 60, they might waive it, but yr taxi nos goes into record, and for taxis, it is driven by your relief and hirer or others at times, therefore, if you sway sway drive in above 55km/hr, and earlier that month, yr hirer or relief had also get flashed at 58km/hr...then most likely, they will summon you. Same goes to Jurong island, the cam are managed by the island management, usually they will waive those living inside, but not to outsider like taxis. And all these cam are view by the management staff,..most of them,,,pui pui lau lau ai koon koon type, then submit to TP for approval, thus it takes time. THat's is also why some get, some dun get, however if it is mend by Traffic police..it will be more strict. Back to us, we as taxi driver of Singapore, is better to stick to the limit, you got nothing to loose, as Bro Mai said, mai play play...drive within speed limit is not scare or consider slow...it is actually a smart driving. Why pay $70 to those farker doing no service to you?? I pay bak bak $30 to $50, at least got good service mah

To rules is quite simple, speed limit + 10 km, you are quite safe, if first timer, can appeal with 80% successful. Above +10km, very hard to justify. Why +10km, because our vehicle are still mend by human, and human legs can at times push a little bit more or less, this had been discussed with LTA, unless vehicle is at cruising mode, no man can maintain a constant speed especially so on a winding road. Therefore the setting of cam is alway set at -10km in order for the allowance of +10 to play with.

Didn't knew the cb cam is located at the very start of the entrance just wen ur abt to climb tat bridge on the right side
Don't understand y they put tat digital speed indicater in the center after the cam
Doesn't make sense bcoz u already pass the cb cam

flash by bridge cam before but no paper.
flash by internal cam come out paper twice, each one 2-3 months later then come.
appeal and get 50% off. so long got pay something they happy already.

The whole situation is all about safety, we all might hate all these cams here and there, but naturally, there must be a reason behind it, putting up a cam and to adminstrate it is a task and costly too. Usually tunnels and islands are more stricter with speed due to the inconvienences of reaching accident site if thing really happen, it no joke, one hit can cause a big jam at times. So, hopefully as TDs, whereby your office and earning is plying on the roads of Singapore, do be wary of all these speed limits.

Sentosa cam just slow down loh... but the danger is the the bloody new cctv.. especially near those zebra crossing one.. just now one of the TD showed me that he kena fined $120 and 3 points for stopping/alighting pax or pick up pax (dunno which one) at Commonwealth area... beware of those cctv... silent killers. ..

If there is a taxi stand infront, please dun go and pick or drop someone near it, especially on pedestrian crossing areas, and as from now..all MRT bus stop and taxi stand are cammed. If you do not intend to pick people, but want to drop pax, please also drop at the drop zone near the taxi stand, then put busy and fark off. All these cams are actually put up because of private car..vans and pick ups like to stop there, at taxi stand...and so on, wait, surf internet or dig noses, so these cabs got a hard time to drop pax in and out, and the whole place including buses will jam up, so many cabbies complaint to LTA, some even took picture and stomp it for $50, so govt put up cam lor..then now taxi drivers go drop and pick pax out of taxi stand...WTF
