Different diameter of wheels = different taxi fares ?

if taxi meter data is from transmission then not original/calibrated wheel diameter will not give the same reading.for same distance travelled.

Every odometer give a +/- meters of play, it understood the changes made by owner on their wheels, at times, especially those pte car, odometer are calibrated faster..so that they faster come servicing and faster sell and buy new car...understand bo? there is a commerical implication in it. But for taxi driving, how much do you want to upgrade yr rims?? they are alway inspected and only authorised personal can tune it. -

Correct, pax today also can calculate fares thru GPS. It is matter of sooner or later, whereby GPS will be use as meter fares, if google can route out every singapore road...why not?

Not anyhow hamtam lah, TCSS mah...u so serious for fark? Calibrating odometer can be done anytime, not only change wheel...you ask those 2nd hand car dealers, they will tell you how to do it...their trade secret...lols -
From my kimchi technical source cum chilli sauce, a car need the most power from the start position, so depend on where or what you travel most, Bigger and smaller wheel do help in a way. For those who travel more on expressways, big wheels are good in a way that there is less stoppage and the momentum of big wheels rotate more dynamic leading to less fuel consumption and also more faster in reaching the desired destination For those who travel more on town and heartland roads, smaller wheels are preferred due to it stop start movement, smaller wheel are lighter that help better in moving off and stopping.

When you touch the odometer..you are directly or indirectly changing it reading...but for taxi, change wheel for fark, it is companies vehicle, for private car..lanjiao lah, change wheel also never calibrate, calibrate for fark, just drive on, 10 years later, scrap liao Aiyo, 5000 rpm is nothing new, F1 ferrari take that revolution to move hor, that is why so big sound, u need to rev up to move mah...same like human, me seat too long here, later boss call, want to move up also need more energy mah..and when you go jogging, first start also need move energy to warm up..tio bo??

So I asked my DRO, she said, taxi fare is inclusive of Gst liao, then I ask, why rental not inclusive? She replied, you want to include, can, paid more lah, like $100, you paid $107, Gst included liao mah. Then i wanted to argue further, she quickly opened her blouse top button and said, Yandao... today weather very hot hor..limpek quickly pack and go...cdg got many lau kuay bu, nobody wants..

The higher the number the slower the Meter.
Press K2 & K3 (at the same time) of Digitax Meter Models will display Meter pulse.

Keen to know how slow is your Meter. run a distance test with your smart handphone GPS apps and compare with your printer receipt distance run.
