Not really took my own sweet time. Just started out and really dunno where to go at times. Eg. go city pick one to woodlands then i will circle ard woodland for 5 mins then off to other places like mandai to yck. As i more familiar with industrial area, i tends to go there as i see many cabs chiong towards city.........

Nite shift is all about queuing only after midnight
That's y must wack to the max during peak hr
Driving nite can be boring also if u don't hv kakis to tok
And don't waste time circling around just follow others

Woodland circle got paxs lah..go circle around. But most like you go around woodlands..round and round, then see how lor, also the time, limpek go checkpoint Q or go zoo -

Indeed i tried this method of town to outskirt and empty to town a few times and it works.Thanks for your advice. I am still trying out all other possible pattern to see what works best for me. haha

CBD area a bit tricky, need to know boundary well. You can get a map from LTA. Think west of Rochor Rd, all kena CBD.
But funny thing is ION Orchard taxi stand is outside CBD. Why don't they re-draw the CBD boundary to include it?
One strategy works for me - if there is a long Q at a taxi stand and it is not moving, pass it. If moving fast, maybe worth it if Q is like less than 10 taxis there.If taxi rank is empty, even worse, most likely no pax. But test and wait for 5 mins max and move on.
I tried before in CDB and other areas, after midnight, long Q at taxi std, pass and move on to somewhere nearby. Usually can find a pax who may not want to walk so far to the taxi stand even thought he/she can see that there are lots of taxis queueing there. Think they know at this time, it is pax's market so they also lazy to walk to taxi std.
Even as late as 3am, can see find pax along road flagging out of the blue. You won't know what these people are up to but who cares? They just want to go home(or any other place) safe, fast and in comfort (no pun intended). Could be doing OT, church meeting, pubbing, dating, late night shows, emergency, whatever.

Yes. CBD is very tricky i find. Last nite pick up an indian family from beach road shaw tower taxi stand to amber garden around 930pm. When i add the city surcharge, they keep quiet all the way and when reach, they ask for receipt. Dunno what they are going to do with it. Hope i add the right thing though.

Shaw tower is inside CBD area. Dont worry. If not sure, jus tell yaself as long u pass through the gantry... is always CBD.

Especially ah neh. I know some of them company will give them a monthly allowances for transport. So they make sure they dun overspend.

lj lah, all these cheapo chao ah neh...their backside how many hairs limpeak also know...they will claim from their companies,..many time, they ask me to add more money..limpek fark them upside down...knn, take taxis also want to earn money from their company. These are mostly IT bastards, they know how to manipulate the receipt into their company account one lah. If you said printer cannot indicate more money, they can even tell you to write on the official cdg receipt...these farkers can change sat to monday one hor

Yesterday nite, while I was practicing 13 quality paxs at cbd, there was an ah nehs function going on at fairmont hotel, after the function, many ah nehs Q at the taxi stands, knn, many taxis even want to take...imagine peak period with TAXI blinking, also no taxi want to pick, except a few limos..but cb ah nehs also smart, never wan to take limos.....lols..limpek went in, saw ah nehs...siam into swissotel side,,,to pick jepun paxs better. I guess the bell boys would had a bad times with these ah nehs complaining..lols

Being a cabbie really is an eye opener. Pick up 2 Thai ah gua from mohd sultan to orchard towers after midnite. Reach orchard towers fare is $8.70. They have the cheek to ask me $8 can or not and open her legs exposing her undies.....I also open my legs in return and say $8.70 please...... nabei...

New of course, eye open lah, after few months...eyes want to close also cannot..see the farking taxi also boring...not to mention the steering wheel -
