Everyone fighting for degree jobs, i happily take blue collar jobs. Over demand for blue collar, so at least for the next 10 years, as long i guai guai learn skills and experience, i scare no coy dont take me. $2.5K vs $3.5K which one you want? Take responsbility or just listen instructions and work.
Every degree holders want high salary, and when given a job, nobody want to dirty their hands.

I will not be surprise, it will sure to go up, mini sum cannot remain stagnated against years of high inflation in Singapore, but peoples have for so long, never question the govt policies, there are many flaws and big mistakes in some of their policies, like 2 is enuf, HDB prices peg to market demand and supply, COE bidding by car traders, and one of the most hated one by most Singaporean, their fark up immigration policies. All these unpopular policies created alots of by product that we, at the moment, have to suffer thru it and still suffering. Therefore, it critical to get better foresight govt with a holistic approach to a policy making decision rather than just top down decision, one man thought become a policy without much debate orientated but more on power orientated. For example, the infamous 2 chidlrens is enough policy created in the 70s, today, we are suffering from that policy, and it led to opening our door to foreigner, getting more PRs and hopefully more new citizen, it led to culture differences, more unwanted crimes, riot, strikes, locals depressive wages etc etc....are all interconnected, therefore, a govt decision is critical not only for the present state, but of future and beyong.

Actually increase $6,000 is not a lot for those currently working
Eg if you have abt $300,000 in your CPF, the 2.5% interest is already $$7,500
