1) From 2014 Q4, TC will start to Scrap the Chevy Epica to recover back the high COE.
(Hearsay that Chevy Epica Taxi is solely by SMRT Taxi,
All TC Chevy Epica spart part need to order through SMRT and Kena Koh Too by SMRT untill 我家阿花 Sibei TL.
And the Chevy Epica break down more frequent than Sam Ban, TW and Renault Latitude)2) From 2015 Q4, TC will start scrap all the TW 1.8
Follow by TW 2.0 (5xxx) then TW2.0 (9xxx)3) TC Final target is to copy CDG,
just have one single car for their fleet : Renault Latitude.
This is the advise from these transportation consultant,
so as to been more cost effective to manage their Taxi Fleet.(SMRT is considering to take Toyota Prius hybrids to be their Fleet)

Careless what management is doing lah, unless like me, got cdg shares, then hv to look at it, taxi drivers is also businessman mah,..tio bo, so you need to be prudent too. As long as rental is cheap, vehicle is still driveable, fuel consumption is still reasonable, fares is manageable, incentive is still acceptable, smlj cab also can drive on.

There are more than 150 units of working condition Chevy Epica cover with dust in the workshop ready to scrap.

Not only taxi lah, if COE is to decrease further, those buying 100k COE car will also scrap to prevent high depreciation and get back the COE to buy newer car..tio bo? This one no need smlj 专家 to teach one...my Ah fool also know..

Why now they, these taxi companies decided to only use one cab for their trade ??? yr this smlj 专家 got tell you or not? how much he knows about underground business? Does he know the amount involve in buying 10 thousand sonata or 2 thousand epica, or honda fit...lols. Beside maintainenace cost, supply chain (parts), the ultimate goal is to reduce corruption, this, I will not elaborate further.

Are you sure ready for scrap or many throw key and no takers? Not so easy to scrap one lah....still got bank loan to repay..Somemore, everyday 150 taxis sitting there is wasting $18,000 a day leh...

Blue / Yellow : Hyundai i40
Red : Renault Latitude
SMRT : Toyota Prius hybrids
Sliver : Kia K5 -

They wanted to replace the Toyota Crowns with Hyundai Sonatas, then a few years later they start testing out the Hyundai i40 and now they want to replace the whole fleet with Hyundai i40. You'll never know, next year they say they want replace the whole fleet with another vehicle(and single fleet will probably never happen). -
i think it a mistake to buy Chevy Epica from smrt. Transcab should get renault in the first place. i think there are more Epica burning than sonata. or else why smrt also slowly changing Epica to Toyota Prius hybrids.
