He put inside his boot 4 ltr of engine oil for top up. Taxi is service monthly by taxi co,so it is not necessary to waste money to buy the engine oil for top up,worst he carrys it in the car day in and out. So how much more diesel he uses if travel 500km adfay x30 days. Even if need to top up,best is done after car is stationery for an hr or more after overnight parking when the engine oil level is most accurate. After top up, leave the engine at home. If car caught fire,insurance can point finger u are carrying combustible material which should not be all the time in the car other than diesel.

i try not to laugh wen i read this post
4lit of engine oil is about 3.6 kg, maybe the cab advertising stickers weight even more.
why not u slim 10kg to drive a cab or choose only skinny paxs so u can save some fuel ?
the engine oil dip stick shows a min n max so u dun have to be tat accurate.
ps. engine oil has a much higher flash point that diesel otherwise it will hav ignited in the int. combustion engine

u see to save unnecessary added wt onto the car, some cars 1) do not carry a spare tyre,if punctured,will inject something onto the tyre so it can run to nearest tyre shop for repair. 2)Volvo carries a much smaller tyres than the 4 runnung the car. 3)some cars run on "run flat tyre",if punctured ,still can run for 80 km away. So why is this stubborn hirer do not heed sincere advice !!! Reasons given by him: During briefing when collecting the car and attending class to learn the taximeter was told to monitor & top up the engine oil. Real OBEDIENT SILLYPOREAN

Then one bottle sell to ang mo at $3, u think who stupid? For goodness sake, there are lots of stubborn taxi Uncle in Singapore lah, and many hv funny habit and pattern one....and to be fair, because of their stubborness, that is why driving taxi -
What I meant is.....
Why care people LJ at 6 o-clock or 12 o-clock.....
Some TD, open up their boot, like storeroom like that, 2 luggages nia, they say cannot put in liao.....
Rightfully, every day when we start our shift, must do "first parade task" (those in army should know what's that), a good habit.....
Battery water level low, top up, engine oil level low, top up, wiper water finish, top up......
So some TD got this habit of standby all this lubricant, wrong meh?.....
I think the one stupid or stubborn is TS himself.....

Last time , I ever see see old crown hirer after finish pumping diesel into diesel tank, pump diesel into boot ! His boot got 6 plastic bottles of 4 litres each
He says the relief niao, always say he pump not full, so he ask the relief to get diesel from his boot to fill up full full before starting shift

I also carry 2 or 3 bottles of engine oil for top up,cos my engine consume more engine oil than normal.cos old car.so i also stupid?sometimes 2 or 3 bottles of water for wiper tank or radiator top up

He even uses a heavy wooden box instead of a plastics container to put the 4 ltres engine oil. It ia a new taxi about 2 mths,need to top up engine oil everday ?

Some use empty engine oil bottle to refill with red bull.....
Thirsty can drink....
So others will think he is a robot cop.....
