their circular says cannot make duplicate key cos can jam key inside barrel or cause short circuit which could cause fire and burn down the car.then any claimsn of insurance becomes void

No lah, many pte car also fabricate keys from outside, car burnt out of ignition is mainly due to prolong cranking when car cannot start, at the same time, driver push down the fuel pedal causing lot of cold diesel entering the cold engine, and keep pushing down the fuel pedal will cause fuel pump to burst due to too much pressure, same goes to brake drum and other pump. Cranking produce sparks on and off leading to electrical fire, and with a cold engine full of diesel and fuel pump leaking...Boom! Remember the cause of fire in a triangel..it must hv the source, the heat, fuel and Oxygen. Heat from the cranking ignition, fuel from leaking etc, oxygen from the air.
