[FT vs Local] Your daily Pax ration ?

My current coy is full of FT.....
Usually it depend on where your coy original from.....
Like mine, Dutch will definitely back up Dutch.....
Those British or Italian or French can slowly wait, and when there is a global restructuring, this people will go first.....
Of course you will ask, why got all this nation people?.....
Global MNC got many offices around the world, like mine, from Brazil to Canada to India to South East Asia and so forth, nothing big happen, people change here and change there, post here and post there.....
I use to have a British CEO, than early this year, global restructuring, HE WAS RETRENCH.....
And most time, if the parent coy think that SG is the ideal place to head south east asia, the rest of the country head will feel the chop and will spare no effort trying all their way to cum SG......
Aiya, a lot of things I can write on FT issue, is just not like playing toy, I'm not supporting the influential of FT in SG, but we Sinkies have to really think, whether we are really competence globally.....
My coy board of director never will leave their Dutch office, but when they shake a bit, globally, not only SG, those our offices all round the world will be panicky.....
So if we looking into a bigger picture, this problem don't only happen in SG only.....
At the end, why my parent coy want to set up a office here? A good question for us to think from there.....

Well, we are a open economy that support free trade and globlisation, MNC are wage killer that look for low cost operation anywhere in the world, they got no identity but rather consider themselve global employees, they only knows how to exploit nation weakness and wealth. And most industrial driven economy the like of Singapore must submit to them, otherwise, alot will go jobless including taxi drivers, their movement can cause economy crisis, and their gains are never share equally and adequately, but their lost is also blame on people working for them, and finally, they can leave and go anywhere as long as the pasture are greener than present.

The differences in Singapore in attracting MNC is different from other countries, Other countries emphasis greatly on local talents, foreign bosses, MNC move in due to low cost of operation mainly because of low wages. However most countries do not have a good infrastructual to support the MNC functioning properly, the like of supply chain, transportation and more important, peace and harmony industrial... like Singapore, no strikes, no boycott, no riot. (until recently smrt bus strike and indian riot) Singapore attraction to MNC is...you operate here, you can employ cheap foreign talents instead of getting higher cost local talents, coupled with our good infrastructure, friendly and cheap taxi drivers, peace and harmony, safe and sound..most flock back into Singapore even we are expensive. In another words, to hold back MNC, Singapore govt tell them, you can bring in cheap foreign talents instead of moving to those countries, and that is why you got so many S pass and E pass holders here...UNDERSTAND BO

But I can tell you, many position within a office still head by a Sinkie.....
Certain function cannot just simply put a FT to in charge lor.....
But local MNC? No comments.....

Recently, 3 of my staffs quit.....
Replace by FT? No la, they choose to leave.....
But at our back, they will go around telling people this "FT" problem......
Ultimately, their position was replace by another 3 Sinkies.....
A foreign company got no FT issue, why? Becos they are foreign coy mah, is their right to employ their ka ki lang.....
But most time, they still need Sinkies around to function properly, same to other regional offices.....
The main problem actually came from those Sinkie MNC......

Not entirely true. I worked for a local MNC for 8 years ... all locals some clerks are Malaysian ... a few only

Employing of Sinkies is at times, to build quotas, which had reduced to 1 is to 2, whereas like marine and construction, more are given like 1 is to 5 going to reduce to 1 is to 3. So, at times, companies do not get FT because of lack of Quotas..Understand bo?

A foreign MNC if can, they will definitely employed all foreigners, we also lan lan, who ask our zhen hu allow them to cum here and set up offices.....
But foreign MNC won't do that, maybe some of the higher management staffs, they will put their own head there, but operation wise still need Sinkies to do it.....
But hor, our sinkies very gao kiam, a bit a bit also cannot, so no choice, some lower management staffs got to bring in FT to do the job.....
Whereas Sinkie MNC is different, rightfully, they should employed Sinkies first no matter what, but they tag on to the situation and started to do funny thing also.....

Aiyo, do u know how many companies hv to remove foreigners due to quotas problem?? And some removed them without a single cent that these foreigners end up in MOM protesting, u still sleeping lah. And especially in today context, govt/mom is very strict in this as it is a social political cum economy issue. MNC move about in the world, as long as the positioning is good, cost is acceptable, can get talents and workers, profitable, they will whack in, once used, they will move to the next pasture. Most MNC are lure into Singapore by our EDB marketing, which is set up by govt, people like philip yeo, lim SS was once the director, to lure MNC, all the above conditions must be met, and more important the corporate tax in Singapore is low compare to many other countries, EDB will decide what type of MNC to bring in, from there, MOE will do the education and create the talents pool, which is mostly Singaporeans. Quotas are do not confine grade and position, as long as same companies, you can use it, so many mid level management, MNC put singaporeans in,..and for workers and some staff, they will employ foreigners in relation to the nos of SIngaporean on the mid level to upper mid level staff. However, there are still local older Singaporeans like me and many others not so educated, unable to fit into the mid level management, and that is where most end up driving taxis not just because unable to get a job, but because the farking paid is low due to the availbility of cheap foreigner workers/staff

You r same like my ex chief, need to broaden your perspective on thing, not that you sit on an MNC and look from an MNC perspectives, you need to look at many angles on the behavorial of our industrial, why locals are still not satisfy even as our economy had grow and our $$ are strong? Like our ex chief, with cdg, said cdg good, with TC, said TC good, cdg fark type, then with premier, said premier good, TC fark type..that is very narrow in a mature view, you need to argue from an holistic approach..Understand bo...but no choice after years of driving taxis...understand your mentality is still taxi driver

General, the ideas of bring FT is good
"FT", for lower level job, hot and dirty, cheap wages..... this level Singaporean should not complaint, compare or even compete.
Should enjoy the benefit of these cheaper people around
FT, those talented one, those highly educated one, those others country had spend time and money to groom one
These are the real talent we are lack off, all thanks to the limited resources our government had place on grooming such people.
It is the FACT these group of Talent are giving us more jobs and is helping the economy
When this good idea reaches our government hand............haiz

But at the same time, bring in those RUBBISH Talent, like driver lar, waiter lar, clerk lar......etc

If u ever notice... the MIW aka pinky team are only interested in profits. Anything is a liability u will start to see the team starts to increase this and increase that, whether anot is a liability only they know.
They only care about the rich ppl who are asset to them.
To replace the population now,which they dont admit their mistakes when they say only educated ppl can only have more than 2 kids per family in the 80s, they introduce Foreign talents to replenish the numbers now.
Even they come up so many systems and counter measures... i am sad to say that mr pinky is doing fire fighting during his era rather bring us, singaporeans to the next era... lack of vision compared to his father.
Of course ppl who can see this and be independent wont fall into the pit hole...but what abt the rest of the singaporeans??

I totally agree with their interest in making profit.
That why, I never complaint for a change, hope for a change from these government. I know, the cost to pay for them to "help" is................ expensive and I couldn't afford for their service.
About mr pinky, this is my thought...........
My father, lead the family gradually, till we stay in a bungalow. Yes, my family member are contibution more each upgrade, but we still get to enjoy every upgrade.
When my elder brother took over, he wanted to do better then my father. He work very hard, make the family member to contribute to the max at the shortest period. He did it, now we are staying in a good class bungalow. He achieve his goal but didn't realise we left with nothing to enjoy this good class bungalow.
My brother had new goal, that is to built more good class bungalow,but when knowing our family couldn't afford another good class bungalow at such a short period, he bring foreigner into the family, share our rooms, share our toilet, share our bed........... but didn't share our contribution. We are still contribution the same hefty amount but with foreigner sharing our space.
Our family member have to go thru this just to satisfy my brother ambition.
When we think we can have our space back when the second good class bungalow is built, my brother is looking into a bigger challenge. He want to have a third good class bungalow at a even shorter period.
He squeeze more foreigner into our home and the new good class bungalow..........
I wonder, is there an end to it?
My father is still alive, why didn't he tell my brother.......you never outshine me when you are unable to let your family grow together with your dream.
