New auto detect speed camera !!!

  Pls note WEF 15/7/2014 

  A total of 24 hrs X 30 auto detect speed cameras will be installed island wide. 

  Summon (Fine $300 + 3 demerit points)  will  be sent directly to registered vehicle owner.

  The locations are:

  Please lah, Singapore road today produce ferrari, got turboed taxis and many other 3000 cc above cars on the road, you expect them to crawl?? If really got so many speed camera, then I switch to drive trishaw better

  TP is also wary of jam and accidents, do you know that under their statistic which they do not want to expose, lots of accidents happen because of camera, Suddenly on see a camera sign or camera..jam brake liao..then bang bang bang... Suddenly at junction one want to cross at amberlight than see the camera only jam brake, then car swerver..then bang here and there, some bang into traffic light, some into coconut trees..after bang coconut trees..another one bang his back. Therefore TP also need to balance the speed and camera hazard, if too many camera, more admin work, more accidents, more maintenance, more appealing, more jamming on the road.

  That is traffic camera lah, the new on like on in victoria (why victoria? because of Mauy chee ferrari and our dpm teo mah), it takes both speeding and red light crossing, many dash during green light hoping to cross before red light, that is where they want to catch yr speeding

  Enjoy the honey moon period now with all these big sign

  There are plan to make all these camera and sign less visible

  There is not enough revenue to cover the cost of installing all these camera

  This 30 cam is for illegal parking,, received the email from CDG. 

   

  Dear Cabbies
  
  You may be aware that the Land Transport authority (LTA) will install close circuit television cameras (CCTV) at 30 locations island-wide to deter illegal parking. The installation of these CCTVs will be completed by 2014.  The CCTVs will be operational 24 hours daily and prominent signs advising motorists not to park illegally will be put up in the monitoring zones.
  
  We have clarified with LTA on the definition of “parking” and whether alighting/picking up activities are allowed in these locations. Listed below is their advice:-
  
  Under the Road Traffic Act: “Parking” means to bring a vehicle to a stationary position and cause it to wait for any purpose other than that of immediately taking up or setting down persons, goods, or luggage.  This rule applies regardless whether there is someone in the vehicle or not, or whether the engine is running or otherwise. Immediate alighting/pick up activities may be carried out along the affected areas except at zebra-controlled areas and during bus lane operational hours at locations where there are bus lane.
  
  To help cabbies to be aware of the locations installed with these CCTVs , we have attached a list of 30 locations / hotspots installed with the surveillance cameras for your reference:

  Don't just thinking they are catching taxi only.....

  I also receive warning letter from LTA.....

  In the letter, they stated, camera is new, so pang chance.....

  Knn, imagine if camera is old liao.....
