[新明日报] 镜头对准车内　男å�申诉德士电眼‘监视’乘客
本地竟有德士装设“对内”电眼，镜头分分秒秒“监视”乘客，乘客感觉éš�ç§�被冒犯，怒å�‘当局投诉。
《新明日报》一å��读者王先生（49å²�）告诉记者，他上周å…早上，乘æ�一辆德士时，赫然å�‘现车内的电眼居然对准乘客，让他感到ä¸�妥。
“电眼在望å�Žé•œçš„下方，一共有三四个è�§å¹•ï¼ŒåŒ…括车外ã€�车å�Žä»¥å�Šè½¦å†…的情况。”
王先生表示，他记录下德士车牌，�络上陆交局投诉。
�了解，电眼对内的德士属于得�公�。

mrt so many cameras facing pax why no ppl complain? you go casino gamble at least got 10 cameras aiming at you why no ppl complain? u go geylang for supper, alot of lamp post also go police camera, why the orkuitow never complain?

Yalor, then you hv to think back, without maids and bangala, sometime no pax liao, at least bangala and maids not as niao as some locals, then if gum gum kenna single maid...can sian abit mah.

Taxi mean...taxing price, so people who took taxi expect privacy, do not need to squeeze, do not need to smell this and that body odour...but have to pay a higher price than other public transport.

If within a area, is 1 to 1, than you probably will get into such situation, invasion of privacy.....
Open area or even buses, where got enclose and in 1 to 1 situation?.....
Like for eg, if you put a camera within a toilet, can right? But if someone came in and use it, than you invade he/she privacy liao lo.....

Is Taxi categorised as public transport ? Is yes, privacy not an issue and it does not follow the enclosed area issue. all public transport in sg has cameras

TD install car DVR is for safety purposes..not for invading other people privacy. What if pax evade fare how? what if pax beat up TD inside the cab how? Do we have evidence to sustain our stand? Does the authorities know our dangerous situation? No..they dun!!
I have a case of a young girl evade fare which I recorded the video inside the cab with the camera I install...I hand over to the police for investigation...at least this is the evidence I have to let the authorities know that someone has ROBBED my earning.

Taxis is classified under private public transport, you can flag them down at most places, you can state/demand your destination, you can also command the road..turn left, turn right..and more importantly, you can complain until the top. Other public transport like bus and mrt is meant for safety and orderly. As long as there is more than 2 and above different people taking a public transport, camera can be install to monitor the situation for safety and orderly reason. Different people imply stranger and peoples who do not know each other Taxi is either single or with someone they knew or in group of relatives, colleagues or friend, therefore, it is deem a single entity, there is no need for orderly and human interacting safety, and therefore putting up a camera on pax is consider an intrusion of privacy. Then it is the obligation of the TD, not the taxi companies, it is in your own obligation to inform the pax that there is a camera, or have sticker to show, Cam on cab for your own safety. You see, under the laws, it did not say that you do cannot put a camera, but you must tell the other party involved, even traffic camera and speed camera are warned. Then it is up to the pax to take or not to take

I mean, if some TD feel that without camera facing the pax, they will be uncomfortable, so be it, go and put lor.....
In SG living, still have to scare this, scare that, than I don't know how you going to survive in other country lor.....
In-car camera initially is just for accident recording purpose, now we can see, it becum a "danger weapon in mass destruction".....

Since u mention, everytime i go book room with bak bak, also look out for hidden camera...so u get becareful hor, dun end up seeing porn movie starring Keepthechange

actually hor ... I ask myself. Am I more scare of my image being capture by cameras in Geylang or inside a taxi. There is no privacy issue for me if there is a camera facing me when I am in a taxi. I take lift ...inside bo camera meh ? This is nonsense ....
