last night picked up a lady along tampines ave 2 going to airport. When approaching the lady I saw a indian guy talking to her so i slowed down as they were standing at the roadside and when she saw my cab she quickly flagged me down and the indian guy walked away. The guy's private car was parked a few metres away. The lady boarded and told me the guy was telling her about ubercab and offered to send her to airport. She said she was frightened of that guy as she has not heard of the app before and she was very grateful to me for picking her up as she did not know how to reject the guy.

Funny how, we as taxi drivers should be the one start up a call business and innovate on it, but end up others like apps and private carrier like uber who are not even taxi drivers are taking advantage of our effort. Many business peoples start from workers, unless born with a silver spoon, like a fruit seller helper end up setting up his own fruit business, a kopitiam boy end up starting his kopitiam or kofu chain of food court, a bakery end up starting his won bakery shop and sell his bread and cakes....even a lorry driver end up gather a few together and create a transport and crane business...but TDs??? just drive and drive..

Aiya, just drive lah, got Q, q lor, got grab or call, take lor, got p n g, pick and go lor..or people wave,...just stop and pick lor...got no time,...put busy and go home
