I $600 only, base on $20 net per day..now increase to $30..bo pian, cost of living getting higher....hv to drive and work harder. That is typically the life of a layman Singaporeans, instead of the older you go, the more relaxing you work...it become more harder..if can pass 60yo, seibei happy liao

I also paying 12 months instead of 36 months by Giro to Medisave. Every month deduct $250.

No matter what, this Medisave thing definitely must top up lor.....
We can chun a lot of stunt, but will always lose out whenever renewal time cum.....

If you have worked before, saved enuf to the top limit of medisave, you do not need to contribute as a TD unless there is an increase in medisave requirement..and that often come once in every 2 years.

that means how har? they send me a giro form for 12 months instalment and also a payment form for the $1636.92 which they stated must be paid within 30days from the date of notice. so the giro form is for the $1636.92 divided into 12 months instalments or for future monthly self contribution? I go down cpf bishan take queue number at least waiting time 120mins to see an officer, i drive night shift leh, need to sleep leh. So i went home and call cpf hotline but all lines engaged and ask me leave contact. Anyone here can advice? Can i pay the $1636 in 12 instalments? Must i self top up $240 monthly by giro? What is the giro form for?

weifuge, if i am not wrong....your 1st sentence means... "they send me a giro form for 12 months instalment and also a payment form for the $1636.92 which they stated must be paid within 30days from the date of notice."
a payment form meaning you owe MIW $1636.92 on the existing basis NOW.
giro form means for future payment, spread into per month payment for 12 months.
When comes to $, if you owe MIWs, dont play play. But if vice versa, they will take their own sweet time.

If want to arrange Giro payment, personally must go down CPF office la.....
Upfront must pay certain amount, before they will grant you the instalment plan lor.....
Driving night shit, not an excuse la, in life, man thing got to settle during office hour, don't tell me, all bo chap, just because you drive night shit?.....
Without endorsement from CPF board, LTA won't approve your renewal of TDVL lor.....
Which 1 more important? Extend TDVL or drive night shit?.....

Go to the nearest CPF office and then sign the Giro form. Upon approval from bank , deduction will be deducted on 25th of every month. No approval from CPF cannot get the clearance letter.

Rental can still hold, Medisave please paid lah...aiyo,,...taxi driving only discipline is medisave...Just do IT lah, and you can drive happily, and also no doubt we all hate this contribution of Medisave, but when it comes to the need, it is very very useful, and also, when you are gone,..it can be pass to your next generation, but many drivers are single, or divorced, so if no childrens, can alway pass it to me..my IC nos is S28374888C, kum sia

Today just read some TD who is ex convict cannot renew their vocational license from LTA. Reason given want to protect the public from ex convict who wishes to drive taxi. Seriously Singapore ex convict cannot make after they are released from Changi Prison. But Bro Bowah how do u beat the system?

If no jail term, nos remain same, that is why govt now put jail here and there, underage sex jail, drink driving jail...corruption jail..that makes all scare. In the 70s and 80s, minor crimes, go to queentown chalet, major only go to changi resort, at queentown, it is divided into 3 groups, the petty crimes group, the hwite collar corruption group and the higher white collar corruption group like CEO or Minister corruption will be put there, I was in the petty crime group, small issue, jailed less than a month..IC change smlj. However, today, all are at changi resort, so even white collar crimes may mix with murderers, gangsters and rapist during their open compound break. I went to jail in the earlier 80s due to cheating, I was young, worked for KDK as delivery clerk, KDK was use to make cassette and video tapes, now collapse liao,,smlj cassette and tapes..phuixxx. Collection of good delivery was cash on delivery, so me and my driver decided to cheat lor, see cold hard cash cannot tarhan...that time (not last time hor), we were milliondollar club member, sin po po lapsup bar VVIP, young mah. So get caught up because account was fishy, boss already marked us, we still dunno, so get caught red handed at tanjong katong pubs cum lj bar. After release, I went to army, IC nos still normal as usual. Only those more than a month will consider ex convict, now you know why judges like to sentence peoples 1 to 3 months, like those sex with underage,...lols

Thats why a friend of mine did his time in prison when he is young but now drive taxi for a living. Anyway that was many years ago. So it's a puzzle to see that those newly released ex convoy cannot renew their vocational license. So what is going to happen to them if they cannot continue in the trade?

Those who went to jail before 2000, and have no more record for since 2000, no problem lah, back to normal, this what we fight for during the yellow ribbon seminar, a man must be given a chance to turn a new leaf, everyone of us make mistakes, either big or small, there must be room for repentance..unless you go in twice or more, like drug addicts...then no choice. Since then, the urge for employers to engage yellow ribbons was reduced, because most ex yellow ribbons guy like me are new born with new IC nos as normal as anyone.

The ex convict are writing to ST forum to ask why. By the way they have to pay $25 for appeal to LTA . And its non refundable. You will get the results in 3 weeks.
