i jus wanna ask is this illegal?..like example we at jurong east and goin orchard?..can we like ask ppl near the side road or taxi stand who goin orchard or along the way pick them up n charge them lower or roughtly e same fare if they take taxi?

It is not about legal or illegal, more of like, you can do anything your like, but dun get caught, so you can go ahead and be a freelance taxi..but dun get caught

In Sg, you drive private car, go taxi stand, ask people to hop on.....
People will say you siao.....
I only know in PRC land, is very common and is like a pest wondering around you, the best thing is, they are not legal also.....

in the market, freelance taxi still havent taken up most of the profits as per taxi market.. These are call minorities...when there's a day when most freelance taxi covers 1/2 or 3/4 of the taxi market...then u see the papayas start to implement something. It's call tax.
So basically do anything, dont get caught. get caught, dont say please / tolong.

Tia kong many of these freelancers are former taxi drivers too, they knew the trade and road well, then got lobang from VIP clients who previously took their cab,..now buy a private car to ferry clients. Direct personnal service, tax free, no rental, no Gst, no Q, no need to sign smlj companies, can enlarge business opportunities with more client recommendation..and most importantly, no need to mix and mingle with those poor 10 mouths 10 asxholes peoples like us
