  Cabbies can't pick up roadside fares in vicinity of taxi stands

  

  Passengers who encounter errant drivers can report them to the Land Transport Authority on 1800-CALL LTA (1800-225-5582), with details of the taxis' registration numbers, date, time and a brief account of the incidents to facilitate investigations.

  SINGAPORE - Taxi stands are provided to facilitate the boarding and alighting of passengers at areas where there is a demand for taxi services ("Can cabbies pick up roadside fares close to taxi stands?" by Mr Chua Guan Chye; Forum Online, last Tuesday).

  To ensure that there is a fair allocation of taxis to potential passengers, cabbies are not allowed to pick up passengers along the road in the vicinity of a taxi stand. Drivers found committing the offence can be fined $50.

  Passengers who encounter such errant drivers can report them to the Land Transport Authority on 1800-CALL LTA (1800-225-5582), with details of the taxis' registration numbers, date, time and a brief account of the incidents to facilitate investigations.

  This is very much LTA arena, not taxi companies, so be smart lah, if taxi stand got so many on Q and you go pick one who is not on Q, even I am those on Q will complaint..tio bo...but if taxi stand no Q, pax wave before stand, pick lah, no Q at TS, who is going to complaint?? tio bo.

  Outside vivo , Tampines mrt, nex etc just to name a few... pax wave on rd side I always look to the right siam them... confirm ts long q... Anyway thats for normal peak. if after 12nm. diff story hor ;)

  Outside taka some smaminimum outsidebe those really in a rush... Will cross the rd to the bus stop to flag a cab. this one up to u to decide. cuz taka taxi stand is a big failure. can only pick one by one n immediately stuck at the exit. Usual q plus exit... mimimun 10-15mins if taxi queueing plus exit jam... 30mins n more :(

  Bugis Junction drop off point also. Pax alight, got pax wanna board. Taxi stand ahead got Q.

  LJ lah, all these authority set up system but never enforce or look after it...like MBS is one of them, smlj drop at convention,only can pick at casino Q side, lan sai lah, now everything also can, pick at convention side also can...lols

  now you all know meh. Simi Lan also come up system but dont follow up. But one thing the MIW follow up is top premium payment....co-relate to their GDP growth.

  they come up system, want us citizens to do follow up...SIMI LAN system.

  GDP is peg to their bonuses mah, govt measure their profit by GDP, 1% is equivalent to 1 billion, jiak buay liao. Is alway like this, they also do not hv enuf personnel to look after all these ah beng seng drivers..so put up cam, camera...smlj also do, but if something bad happen, the system will come back to place, just like if something happy at bugis 2 stands...then the book will open again..someone head will roll, most is the bugis old ai koon ai koon warden will take the blame, then start again..is like this one lah, if not, how Singapore can bloom

  the only consolation is .... if the pax really damn CB, you reallly f them up. Not happy, ask them get off your cab.

  but for all TD drivers, for your safety, at least carry a personalised defense item with you at all times...so if something happens, at the very least you are safe...for that period of time.

  One of the most important thing that TDs need to learn is patience. It will help you alot in yr day in and night out driving. I not saying u need to hold yr anger and frustration just to attain patience skill, what I am implying it that, we need to communicate more gracefully..we all had in a way, met all kind of people from all walks of life from not only in Singapore, but around the world. The tone and the word spoken carry our style and image, Alway use a low and steady tone first..eg..Sir, if you find that this ride do not suit you, I can drop you now so as to end our differences with each other, thank you.

  But pax won't be steady steady let you off.....

  If to the extend need to chase pax down, no reserve liao, bring out all your 祖宗�八代 liao, becos this might be your last time farking pax upside down.....

  Arbo, if treasure your TDVL, just endure, endure and endure lor.....

  Friend, there is a limit to everything, even how you lut yr cab, the most can go 300km/hr tio bo,...that one performed only once by the famous TC red epica only. So, as I said, I did not ask u to hold yr anger and frustration, you can get angry and fark him back..but be wise, for that matter, let me teach you..a angry man is alway the one who make the first mistake and create a way for other to take him down. Let pax be angry, do not get angry with him in the cab, go out of the cab and argue or fark him, let the public know, then see how he feels, when there are many witnesses, the game will be different. Nevertheless, 95% paxs are ok, maybe only you get those 5% rotten ones, because you like to agitate them mah. Many Drivers are very proud driver, held their ego and pride too high, that is why, kenna left right and centre lor. Just be nice to others, 95% will are nice folks, and even get those 5% rotten one, once you hv the confident and charisma in yr way of talking and handling, 4% will give way, and 1% might even appreciate you. Usually on a ride with pax, I dun talk, but if pax wishes to talk and ask this and that, they most likely will drop off my cab a much better person, and alway thanks me for the good insight of either human psychologist or behavorial

  I will answer them back, "What's so good about morning?"......
