COMPARISON OF OVERSEAS TAXI FARES

Notes:
1.Fares are based on a 10 km taxi trip, with 5 minutes waiting time, during off peak hours with no surcharges.
2.Hong Kong's taxi fares are based on Urban taxis/red taxis.
3.Singapore's taxi fares are based on ComfortDelGro's Hyundai Sonata taxis.
4.Exchange rate as at 5 March 2014.

Every different countries, taxi function differently la.....
Some of this countries, 1 trip sent you to "holland" liao.....
Like Sinkies meh, 1 trip follow by another trip.....

And bear in mind...NY and London drivers are mostly foreigners from the land of a thousand rape. Ours is local. And that's also why, in NY, london and hk, you wave hand only...got taxi liao

Not true la.....
NY very strict on their TD also and they only have roughly 51k licence TD to drive the yellow taxi hor.....
Knn, Sinkie so small, TDVL holder already surpass 100k.....
London got 1 of the most difficult "knowledge" test to pass in order to becum a TD.....
Some take this cb test for 10 years also cannot pass, knn Sinkies, 3 months nia, on the road liao.....

Ah...my friend, NY, and vancouver..taxi drivers are mostly punjabi, it is not hard to get a TD licence. -
The hard part is getting the connection, same goes to london, if you from tamil nadu...cannot even get a cab to drive..not to mention about licence. Most singhs found their foothold on US and Canada as taxi drivers, and singhs are like brothers, you need to be singh to join them. Of course, there are other group driving too, but mostly are own gangs, must alway remember, in other countries, Taxi driving is a private matter, in singapore, lot of Govt intervention, and the fact that most taxi companies in singapore are mostly GLC or farking in the same house relatives tell you lots of differences.

You want to drive, cum down office, register, state your preference timing, than off you go.....
Collect, return, all in taxi coy, si beh troublesome 1 la.....

Si ani kuan mah, but they can take home 5 to 6k us dollar per month if they work hard, and there is alway a 10% and above tip for taxi, u go there and dun give tips, they will curse and swear on you,...and most are foreigners and negro carrying 2 guns, one the pistol, another their big long gun. When I told them our TD here get whacked, they laughed, for them is shoot first then collect fare...hoot TD is never in their society. There is a lot of human rights and respect in those countries, killing a pax not paying a fare is consider a right of the taxi driver. In Singapore, knnccb, you either get death penalty or lifetime jail Ours is so pathetic that we have to bow to pax, coy and govt..phuixx -

Imagine heavy snow, their TD still diligently waiting for pax at airport or shopping mall.....

That is their way of living mah, but their fares is few times more than us, and hv to travel long distance due to large land, one trip only, can make a few time our whole day income, then, they got holiday one hor, due to their strict employment laws that all working class must hv 2 month holiday + the most driving per week is only 40hrs unless driver/worker agreed to work/drive at their own expenses. Then during their holiday, their TDs can go back india and be king, and some of their locals driver also can come Singapore for tour, saw our taxi fare so cheap, make them laugh until...shiok shiok
