SINGAPORE - A cyclist wearing dark clothing was knocked down at a pedestrian junction by a speeding cabby.
In a video posted on Facebook by SG Share, the cyclist can be seen attempting to cross the pedestrian junction when there is a red light.
A taxi driver that presumably does not see him speeds through him causing him to fall.
Unbelievably the cyclist gets up from what could have been a catastrophic accident seemingly unhurt from the collision.
Clutching his bike, he staggers the rest of the way across the pedestrian crossing to safety.
According to the description accompanying the video, the incident happened in the vicinity of Chevrons at Boon Lay Way.
People who watched the video had much criticism for the cyclist - for attempting to make the crossing during the red light as well as for the fact that he had been dressed in dark clothing with no reflectors or lights to help drivers in spotting him.
Some, however, pointed out that the cabby had been approaching the junction too fast making it difficult and dangerous for him to have stopped in time to prevent a collision.
