SINGAPORE - A taxi driver, who was seen yelling at a female driver in another car on Bukit Timah Road, had stopped his taxi to taunt her twice, an eye-witness said.
According to a contributor on citizen journalism website Stomp, the driver shouted and gestured rudely at a female driver in a white SUV on Friday evening.
Stomp contributor Kenny said that the taxi driver had blocked two lanes of traffic as he came out of his car to confront the woman.
The cabby had first blocked the entrance to a bus bay as he gestured aggressively to the woman, telling her to step out of her vehicle.
When the woman drove off, the taxi driver dangerously overtook her car and stopped in front of it, Kenny says. The contributor captured the second incident on camera, and sent the footage in to Stomp.
He told Stomp:
"I witnessed a disconcerting event yesterday evening (March 28) while commuting home on SBS Bus Service No. 157 along Bukit Timah Road that involved a taxi driver.
"The incident happened at 7.04pm at the road near near Hwa Chong Institution.
"The driver is not only aggressive and hostile, he has no respect for other motorists on the road.
"I witnessed the entire incident, and saw the taxi driver being verbally abusive to the lady driver in the white SUV on two occasions.
"In the first incident, I saw the taxi driver behind the white SUV. He had stopped near the bus stop, thus preventing the bus I was on, Bus Service No. 157, from entering the bus bay.
"He angrily motioned to the lady driver to get out of the car, and was already seen being aggressive, but the lady driver managed to drive off.
The next incident, according to Stomp contributor Kenny, took place at the next bus stop. This time, he had time to record the incident.
