To be fair, yes, even the mood of pax is different, more cool and simple, and because of no peak in the morning, many cheapo pax for you to pick non stop at time. And one good pts is you dun get so much traffic as weekday peak period. With no surcharge period, you can hardly match $1 to 1km fuel collection, but plenty of pax can help to keep the meter running. In comparing, weekend and weekday, given both are working hard and smart, weekend will earn more, however, that is common in all industrial, people who work on weekend get overtime or even double pay for sunday, like I stand in for casket, weekday $70, weekend $150, 8hrs, any above 8hrs, I hr $25 for saturday, $30 for sunday and $15 for weekdays. So TD must also earn more on weekend, because they hv to sacrifice family and rest day, and also tarhan those cheapo paxs. And if you are earning less or same as weekday, then better dun drive, waste yr life away only

knn...weekend they like to cut trees in highways. tio jam many times liao. sometimes before 12pm, still cannot cover rental...good meh weekend morning 1st pax goes tuas or jurong west ...confirm liao but at least can go boon lay place in Power Nasi Lemak

Nope. Driving weekend sian. Meter jump slow. I rather drive to cover rental and then closed shop early.

Oh yah, no peak hour SC, but seems crowd comes out later around 9am onwards.
if it's day shift only, sure make less as no sc, morning usually single trip to town, then empty there, less advance jobs available for bidding too, in fact drastic drop.
day trips are usually short trips
maybe that's why most TD not keen with weekend driving

Weekends, mostly for partimer lah, those full time one, maybe only drive on saturday, then rest on sunday, at least preserve some energy for weekdays mah, somemore can be with family, especially those with young wife and childrens, tiam tiam drive taxis...later wife also go for other man, and kids also take him as ATM only

Just drive lah, sure to make money, of course peak is more lagu, if not why got surcharges, all these peak periods and location surcharges are consider our only perks in taxi driving, and of course you hv to take in those jams, slow traffic and Q and also the energy required to chiong, as said, there is no free lunch, after the first 2 to 3hr of chioning, money goes to company..haiz

Knn... I had just throw 3 days of rental... work commitment. .. now tell me hirer better or relief better...

of course you can drive...but no life lo. haha. same for me when i was working 8-5pm, then 6.30pm drive to 1am. from wed to sundays. Monday and tuesday night sleeping to recuperate...so basically NO life haha. especially when reach weekends lagi morale low...ppl go chiong, relax, we still driving...

No leh,,, weekend night driving, i very on and disciplined driving type.. less than 1 hour break in total... Good $$$$ so ok for me...

To be fair and honest, relief is better. Our characteristic and attitude do play a part in being hirer or relief, if you are those who like our keepthechange, even ghost also cannot get along type, then be hirer on omo. On the other hand, a bad temper and fussy person is better to be relief, cos can throw key anytime mah. -
S, depend on your character, if you do not wish to be tight down for a year or 2 type of people, be relief, but if you hv school going kids and still got bills to pay and more committment in family, hirer is way to go as you need consistency, and for that, you must be flexible in yr character, can do both omo or engage a relief to help out. Just truly ask yourself, do I fit to be a hirer, am I ready to go OMO if I cannot get relief, am I able to commit for the sake of earning an honest living, am I flexible enough in my character inorder to get relief, am I in heavy debt, am I better off as a hirer as I got more control of my time and what I want to do that eventually also give flexibility to my life, and finally, am I willing/prepare to work hard and smart, less TCSS and concentrate more on the road and earning.

service line is like that, people go chiong to enjoy, u chiong to make $.
u only chiong to enjoy during off peak timing,which is good, not so crowded
