well that depends on individual. Usually if for long term and comfort, better get the newer models, else if you really gian the cheap cheap rental and doesnt mind backache, noisy engines...go ahead.

same here, I do drive quite fast sometimes, but whenever I take taxi, the driver speed up to 100 only I already start to tense up and tell him pls don't go faster than 100, if he exceed, I will fuck him up side down.

Then it also depend on yr lifestyle, your habit and most importantly, your health, some like me can tong very long also no problem, smlj seat also can, as long as meter running can liao -

Cruising fast and chionging fast is very different lor.....
If infront is clear, no vehicle, ok fair, you drive a bit fast I don't mind.....
Some TD knn 1, infront traffic quite heavy, still want to zip-zag here and there, than tailgate infront so close, di di step brake, accelerate.....

Wow I am surprised to see the bad habit of revealing incomes earned has resurfaced.
No need to state how much one earns in a day or even 1 hour. Every experienced taxi driver will know how much can be aearned on average if one uses a certain driving attitude. If very hardworking, rest little roughly will know how much an hour can earn. The same is you drive relax, pick and choose or interview. Or even a CBD warrior who tries to find 13 magical pax, and only going to areas he wants to go, not where the pax wants to go.
All this after some time, everyone will roughly know, the estimates cannot be so far off, cannot like 1 guy say only $10 an hour another say $60, a big difference. Or even the day's taking , be it a normal weekday for x no hours driven.
All this is known to almost all drivers here and elsewhere, so why publish your daily earnings? What benefit will declaring such a thing bring? Get a medal, get extra rebate from Govt or company?
Or will things like this be used it consideration when rentals go up or new rules imposed?
Think before you post income. Or post something so ridiculous like Bowah's $30. That can never be used to reflect increases, but it also doesn't give the public and authroties the wrong impression that TDs is a very laku work.

Taxi driver, aiya, no matter how much you earn, can never be a rich man, so dun come and tell shit abt limo, maxi or drive this and that can get you rich, like JR said, most of us will know where we stand, except, from the public view, who never understand Taxi business, may take it as wha! Taxi Uncle very rich hor. In TD, to be rich, there is only one school of thought that is permanent, and that is your ah kong and ah pa is very rich, then past it to you, other than that, from a humble low or middle class family, TD is same as most other job, a struggling one that demand constant hunger and strain to earn that pathetic income that can never make one rich, nor your next generation rich...so dun come and gives me the bull that you earn $60 or $70per hour..every hour in TD

btw, how long can you tahan on the road non-stop??
Drove my 1st whole day last saturday, by noon i see so many pax on the road.. lucky i put change shift " Jurong west " in mid noon, put liao pax still can flag me...i say ok la. short trip in jurong. next thing i know the pax say go harbourfront. I ji tao reject.

Is not scare, mostly, income including those wage earners are consider confidental and private, like our kuku private bird, but if one choose to expose it, then it is up to individual, no one can stop him or her. -
Income exposure can lead to morale and motivation degrading or vice versa, excel. If one said he earn 5k as TDs, some TD earning 2 to 3k will feel very down, demoralise with envy and jealous emotion, end up full of frustration. Because comparision leads to pressure, like schools, today they realised that to expose results of all pupils to all is not going to improve anything but in fact, the result might further go south, so that is why there is no mention of who get As or who get Ds. So, be modest, to help TDs, which is a very lonely stressful job, we must support them, like me, tell them $30net can alway bring a good day for them.

If someone post exceptionally high income, we will know is CANNON lor...
