Does CDG gives special rental rates for 'special drivers'?

I got a resident taxi driver, anytime of the day i go to the car park, the vehicle is there, engine is usually cold. Vehicle body is usually clean.
I seriously wonder when and how he drives. I go out in the am, car is there. Sometimes in the pm, I come back, its there.
At night sometimes when I come back late, its usually there also.
I see it more in the car park than to see the driver out driving. Usually when I see him, its with family members.
Very rare, unless I'm lucky to see the vehicle is out for long periods.
I'm thinking even if he drives a few hours here and there during peak periods, how to get a proper income??

sometimes when i go condos also a few blues also park there.when i ask paxs,some say driver hardly use it to ferry paxs,always seemed to be parked there!

My neighbour more satki. Park his $168 Viano in his house whole day. The only time I saw his Maxi move is ferrying his grandchildren to and from childcare. KNN

as the business model is towards collecting rental from TD, companies don't care what u do with it as long as rental paid promptly. It's hardly for passengers welfare

mine also sometimes parked at carpark
fm evening to next day morning
one week at least throw rental twice
majority weekdays drive less than 6hrs
but I got relief to cover daliy mileage hor
i only stay hdb not landed/condo lol

Some TD can start their day carry thousand of loose note, you ask him why carry so much? He can tell you, in case cb pax give thousand note, limpek play with him kao kao......

We had one member LVxx, Driving Yellow Top, Any time he have at least 4 digit cash with him.
One time a White Indian Bzman, tolk his cab and like to shown off, Taxi Fare $10+ but give him a Thousand Note and said : I dun believe, you Singapore Taxi Driver had change off $1000.
This Lao Ah Beng uncle, immediately take out from his pocket and paid him back and ask him SIR you need anymore change of $1000.
The Farker take out another 2 pcs of $1000, LVxx immediately change to him and ask him anymore.
The Farking white Ah Nie Lan Lan go down his Old Toyota Crown.

Car price is so high now, cost of maintaining one also high. So mia rent from taxi co. then get a few pax recover the daily rental close shop, the car is his considered no rental charges liao. There are ppl not buying and not renting private car now, so long they have a TDVL.
I think maybe this is the reason most the time the taxi is parked there, I got see a few taxi parked near my place also most the time of the day. one even sibeh brand new smrt chevvy clean clean whole day parked there, don't think he drive taxi for income else how to survive by not driving?
I work place near landed also, park car there free walk a bit only. Then also see one taxi park there when i start work, knock off 6pm is still there same spot not moved.

There are ard 100k people with TDVL yet only slightly more than a third are driving regularly. Of these 35k or so drivers, maybe another 5k don't really need to survive on TD salary solely.
Some are retirees, just driving for a bit of pocketmoney. Some are old timers who made their money in the old days and bought landed property cheap. So they just drive for fun, maybe just to be busy and earn a little extra.
Some in private property are living with their children who are successful. They are able to survive without driving long hours and some can even afford to use the cab as a form of transport plus earn a little bit extra.
And of course some are those that got lucky, maybe sold their property got money, strike big in $D etc. But old habits die hard and they continue to drive a little bit until they sian or maybe when the company ask them to return due to lack of usage (CDG will do this).
So the sight of taxis in private properties is not really a suprise. The surprise would be in 1 private estate if got more than 10% of the vehicles are taxis.
